It's been three years since the boy saw the girl in the village. He had almost forgotten about her completely. As he started his morning routine right about the time he saw the sun rise the girl from the village ran by. She was running from a huge woman that was screaming feriously. He had to hid the girl in his shack. With a sqeak of the door and a fast throw of some blankets, she dissapeared. The large woman asked where the girl went for she was a servent. She served in the castle just over the hill. As the woman kept running the boy went inside to talk to the girl. He had noticed scares all over her arms and legs. He tried to comfort her with just some random conversation. It was nearing sundown and time had seemed to disappear as they spoke. They talked till the sun rose. The girl wanted to leave and find a new land to start a new life. The boy knowing some of the land offered to help. They packed up what was around which was not very much, the boy lead his favorite sheep and they took off. They walked for hours taking small breaks here and there. As they reached a wall of trees a choice had to be made, go through or around. The decision was to go through the dark tall forest where almost no lights came through the tree tops.
