Wind rushes against my face, pulling me back, urging me not to follow dad. But I push forward, resistant against the force.The "moment" -when he woke up early to help me with my homework- re-plays in my mind repeatedly. I can't help but think of mom. I heard her voice, hadn't I? 

I find myself in a wheat field. I pace around, searching for any sign of life. I have no such luck. I gather some grains of wheat to stack as a pillow. I lie down and gaze up at the stars above me. My eyes close and . . . . . . . . . . . I awake to the sound of music. I look up. Birds of all colors are above me, chirping and swaying their heads back and forth.
