9- The Past

Wolf's head rested on my lap, as my legs stretched in front of me. His tears fallin' on my thighs occasionally
"Yes, I'm Kyle Tokisaburo Rosenberg, I am master Leo's guardian. Please call me Toki." I nodded, "Toki..." Toki sighed, "I am truly sorry you had to witness Leo's secret." I pet Leo's hair as Toki explained thin's.

"I see..." I said sadly. "So he's here... How long do you think it'll be before they find him?"
"Hopefully a while, but relocation will be necessary if they do."
I looked at the the boy on my lap, now asleep. "It's been around ten years, hasn't it? Wol- Leo, told me he knew me as a kid. An' he's followed me since." Toki looked down, then back at me before standin' up.
"We weren't here the whole time actually." He scratched the back of his head. "We left for a couple of years. He was rather glad to be back here though. I couldn't understand why he liked this little place, I thought maybe he just felt safer here. But then I saw him, protect you... Then I realized he had found something special to him."
A faint smile crossed my lips as I looked up, then to a wolf sleepin' nearby. "An' the wolves here... Why are they so kind?"
Toki chuckled, "They've known master Leo since then, and recognized him when we had returned. Leo showed them kindness instead of fear or intentions of harm. He saved a pup too. I guess they feel the can trust us... Not all 'wild' animals are dangerous."
I giggled, "It would seem so." Toki faced the exit to the cave, an' started to walk towards it. "I'll be out for a bit. Take care of him, okay?" Before leavein' he had turned his head an, flashed a smile, then was gone.
