Ricks POV
I was driving the box truck back to Glenn's camp, he was riding behind me in a red sports car.Glenn was pumping his fist out of the window, hollering and whooping as he sped down the road.
"It should be the next right." T-dog tells me.
I'm worried about meeting this new group, I have no idea how they're going to be.
For all I know, they could be crazy psycho killers.
But ultimately in the end, my only goal is to survive long enough to find my wife Lori and my 10 year old son Carl.
"What are we going to do about Merle?" I ask t-dog, while keeping my eyes on the road. You never know what's going to be in the road now.
"I'll tell his siblings, I'm the one who dropped the key, it's only right." He explains to me.
This guy had siblings? If they're even half as rude as him I'm going to have my hands full.
"But I wouldn't worry much about his brother Daryl. It's his sister I would worry about." He warns.
"How bad could she possibly be?" I asked, scoffing.
"She's Merle times five. I'm never been scared of a little cracker girl, but her stare could make a grown man piss himself." T-dog makes this girl sound like she's a monster. He leans back in his seat and shakes his head.
I soon see a dirt path to my right, I slow the truck down and turn.
I pull forward about fifty feet until I see an opening in the brush and a large RV parked with an older man perched on top of it.
When I stop the truck andrea runs out of the back and embraced a young blonde girl, a skinny lady hugs t-dog and everyone else hugs their loved ones.
I take a look at the camp, the people look pretty harmless. I bet Lori an Carl could have stayed here with me.
I sniffle at the thought that I can't hold Carl and Lori in my arms right now.
I build up the nerve to step out of the truck.
I take a deep breath as my feet hit the ground.
I don't know what to expect, thy probably won't even want me to join their group.
"Daddy!" I hear a young boys voice yell.
I turn around to see Lori and Carl running up to me, I drop to my knees and embrace them both.
"Oh I'm so glad you found us." Lori whispered to me.
I squeeze them one last time and then we all let go.
I stand up and shake Shane's hand, "thanks man."
He nods his head and walks off.
"Where's dixon?" The young blonde girl that Andrea was hugging earlier asked.
"He got left in Atlanta." I answered back, trying to gauge the reactions f everyone.
"Who's going to tell Daryl?" The same girl asked.
"I am, I'm the one who cuffed him to the roof." I owned up.
"No man, I dropped the key. I'll tell him." T-dog volunteered, stepping up.
"I hate to say this, but it might sound better coming from a white guy." Glenn tells t-dog, wariness heavy in his voice.
T-dog shakes his head, "I got scared and I ran. I'm not ashamed of that."
