That feeling when you hear that one persons name, or you become anxious when you know you're about to to see them?

Love. Love is when the first thing you think about when you wake up and the last thing you think about when you fall asleep is that one person. It will come around when you least expect it.

Melanie, she was simply beautiful: tanned, slim figured, long brown waves of hair that reached down to her waist and eyes to die for. She was the most beautiful girl at Woodbridge high school.

I'm not your average 17 year old girl, no, she definitely was not- people stereotyped her as the "popular girl", when really she was a kindhearted and loving girl; and even though she had such a high popularity status at her school, she never let it change herself.

Dion on the other hand, he's the most popular boy in school and knows it; he has a huge ego and will never underestimate himself. Dion's a Greek boy, he's practically a "Greek God" as most girls would say and every girl wants him. He's got brown hair which is always cut perfectly, brown eyes and a perfect, defined jaw line. Such a strange thing to notice, but after knowing him for eight years you begin to notice the little things.

It's a bit cliche actually but Dion's the biggest player in our year and all the girls want him. Then there's me... Melanie, whose one of Dion's "girls", we've been best friends for eight years and I love him; but I only have feelings for him as a friend and I only love him as a best friend.

We trust each other with everything and do everything together! It's just, you can never get so close with someone before one person falls for the other, right?

Dion treats me differently to how he treats any one else, he's protective of me especially when it comes to other guys, he makes sure I'm always happy and always looks out for me; he's the best friend you could ever ask for.

I walk through the large metal gates of Woodbridge Highschool; anther day being surrounded around temperamental and horny teenagers attempting to grow up faster than they actually should be and pretending to be what they're really not.

A few people attempt to make small talk with me, but most know I'm not a morning person and eventually give up.

I try to avoid everyone and walk straight to my locker, I'm not in the mood to socialize this morning but I keep my eyes open for Dion, but he's no where in sight. I put my locker code in and look at my timetable; English for a double, how exciting!

I arrive to class a few minutes late and take my seat near the middle of the classroom, I wave a few hellos to friends on the way. I haven't seen Dion this morning; typical, he's late, probably making out with his "new girl for the week". It doesn't bother me, I'm use to it, I save him a seat next to me.

As I said I'm not a morning person, so I'm barely focusing on the teacher and instead looking out the window. I hear the door slam and my head shoots right to the front of the classroom, it's Dion.

He's late and my teacher does not look one bit pleased, Dion apologises to the teacher, not one but sincere and takes his seat next to me.

He places a light peck on my forehead and shoots me his signature smirk, I laugh it off and turn my attention back to the teacher.

The day goes on, feeling slower than usual. It's finally lunch, I walk over to my locker and place my books in neatly. Dion walks over to my side and leans his back on the locker next to mine "stop being such a neat freak and hurry up so we can go eat!" He says between chuckles.

I role my eyes, "excuse me, I am not a neat freak! I just like everything to be tidy and organised."

" Oh wow mel, I swear you have OCD dude, whenever were in a lesson you bring out all your pens and

Aline them all perfectly"

"Hahaha, whatever Dion, let's go" I say as I begin walking to the canteen area.

I'm a fast walker so Dion rushes to my side and tugs at me, "what?" I moan. Dion looks down at my hand and slips his fingers between mine, perfectly. I laugh as he does it so naturally.

People just stare at us, whispering things mainly how adorable we look or asking of we're dating. I'm use to it so I just laugh it off and walk over to our table.
