Life Isn't Perfect (a jelsa story)

Chapter 13

Jack pov-
When I opened my eyes it was dark but I could see a faint light under the door to the hallway. I suddenly started to breath heavily when I realize I don't know where I am. I try to calm myself by looking around the room again I see a bed pulled next to mine with a girl laying on it with her back facing me, all I can see is her hair. I don't know who she is or why she would be so close to me. I start panicking again trying to rack my brain for anything I remember anything at all. The only name I remember is Hans, hans... the name makes my heart quicken and with it the machine next to me as well the beebs start to rapidly increase. Hans, hans, hans I repeat the name outloud slowly. By this time my body has sat up and curled up with me hugging my knees. I am still panicking when I see a large group of people run in along with a person in a white outfit. Everything is blured and in snapshots as I see them hurry over. It feels like I am drowning. I hear them talking to me, some even yelling but I just can't make out the words. I am still holding my knees and have my head buried in them. Why are all these people hunched over me. I just want to be left alone especially now that  somewhere in all this chaos the lights were turned on. They really hurt my head. Then lady in white says something to the group and slowly they back up and go silent, some of them sit down they are all still in the room though. I am about to close my eyes again then the room goes dark again, the lights were turned off. I suddenly become aware of a voice breaking through the water to me. It's a women's voice she whispers something she has repeated it a few times before it clicks. Jack can you hear me? It's ok Jack everyone is here for you. She says I slowly pick my head up and then open my eyes to see a nurse by the bed. My eyes go wide trying to process what had happen. When I don't awnser she talks again always in a calm voice , Jack can you hear me now do you understand me? I slowly  nod my head in a reply. Good she says you don't need to be scared your safe. We are all here to help She says. I am still holding my knees when she says she is going to ask me a few questions. She grabs a clip board and starts the questions. Do you remember your name? I try speaking its hard and first but a whisper comes out its hoarse and quiet but I manage to say Jjaaccck. I look behind her and see a girl with blonde hair letting a silent tear till down her face. She quickly turns her head when she sees me looking. The nurse says I can just nod in response and asks me if I remember anyone of your friends here she gestured to the people behind her I now see there are six in all. She asks them to go down the line saying there names and a little of how I know them. The first guy in line has darker hair and green eyes. Well my name is hiccup we've been friends for a while now. Next in line is a girl with red curly hair she says her name is merdia in a strong accent. She also adds she is always asking me to do archery with her but it isnt my thing she says. Then a tall guy with blonde hair says his name is kristoff and we just recently became friends. The next girl to him has strawberry blonde hair she was about to talk when the girl behind her in line suddenly runs out. A guy was about to go after her but she stops him and goes by her self. Now that the two girls are in the hall the guy says his name is Flynn. I am going to be straight and honest with you he says, we are friends but a lot has happened lately we got in a fight because I held something important from you. It put one of our friends in danger and now... it looked like he was going to say more but stopped when the strawberry blonde returned without the second girl. She nods to flynn and they trade places. she then says her name is Anna. I've known you all my childhood Jack, But it was mostly because you are best friends with my sister Elsa. So do you remeber anyone the nurse says I look over to her I almost forgot she was there She is now sitting on a chair but still has the clipboard on her lap and the pen poised in her right hand. I slowly look over them again but I don't remember anyone I start to shake my head when I see the blonde walk in she goes to the nurse and says may I finish. Of course the nurse says politely. I am rupunzal she says slowly. She then starts talking faster, and your Jack. Elsas best friend she was recently hurt pretty bad you saved her and she did the same to you. You care for her greatly. I just wanted you to know that. I slowly try to speak. this time is not as bad as before but it's still quiet. Elsa I say, Elsa I say again with more confidence this time. Yes rupunzal says Elsa... do you remeber her. I look to my right and see the girl I saw before but now I see her how she has always been to me- kind, sweet, beatiful, my best friend... the girl I love. I can see her face clearly now that she is laying on her back and her head is slightly tilted towards me I take a while to study her features her small nose and chin her platinum blonde hair that I've seen oh so many times before. I slowly lay down. my head still turned towards her I don't even look away when I say two words confidentiality to everone in the room...

I remember.
