"Forgive me.."

A knock on the door, jerk me from my thoughts of the past. Remembering all those intimate times had given me an uncomfortable erection in the jeans I wore. "Dammit."I growl adjusting my pants as I got up to answer the door. It was the maid from this morning.

"I've come to help you prepare for dinner tonight M'lord."She says

"Just have my outfit prepared, I'll get dressed by myself. I'll be up there with in the hour."I reply.

"Of course M'lord."She says before leaving. Glancing out the window, I watch as the sun started to set. It's so stuffy in here, I think I'll go for a walk.

I left the castle through the courtyard. Walking on an old worn dirt path, that carriages once traveled in the past. It was quiet except for the wildlife going about their business. It was beautiful out. I could smell the rain before it fell. The coolness touched my face and soaked me from head to toe within minutes. I didn't  bother turning around, wanting to get to the end of the path. My childhood home wasn't too far from the castle.

I push my wet hair back so I could see what was left. Some parts of the foundation were still there, burnt black from the fire that had burned it down. The place was overgrown with weeds and nature. I could remember what it had looked inside and outside, just barely though, as I walk through the remains. The place where it all had started.

We didn't have much, but that never stopped us from enjoying life to the fullest. Mother and Father were very secretive people; no one was allowed over, ever. We lived off of the land, secluded from everyone else.

"Why do we have to live so far away from others?"I ask.

"Because son, they fear us, and if they found us, they'd hurt your mother, you and your sister and I."

"Why would they do such a thing? That's not fair or right." I reply frowning.

"Come, let's go practice."His father had said with a smile, trying to steer his attention elsewhere. His father taught mr how to fight so I could  one day protect.

"It's very hard to kill me. Do you know why?"His father asked.

"Because beheading is tough? You are a lot bigger than I too. And you have the advantage father."

"Yes and because I'm not human."

"Am I human father?"

"For now son."his father said patting my head.

Then one day while I was with my sister Ophelia, playing by the creek we heard a loud scream coming back from the house. When they had gotten there, the house was surrounded by people we didn't know with torches. We stayed hidden in the woods, trying to keep Ophelia quiet so we wouldn't be found.

"Witch! It's all your fault Witch!" They chanted. One man came out dragging mother by the hair, her screams of pain were hard to watch. They started tying her up on a cross made of wood, and started piling kindling around her. She was bloodied and battered, sobbing. They spat at her and cursed her. Her eyes drifted and met mine. They widened in sudden realization that her children were so close by. She screamed for them to run, yelling for their father to come save them all. She struggled against her bindings, unable to do anything.

"Nooo!"she screamed as they set fire to her, chanting witch begone. I was unable to tear my eyes off of her burning, I could not move from the fear that seeped into me. I made sure Ophelia wasn't watching. It wasn't long before we were found by those men with torches.

"Don't touch her!"I scream when they grabbed my sister.

"Daughter of a witch is also a witch! String her up boys!" A man yelled. They started dragging her away as she screamed for them to let go.

"Brother! Help me!"She screamed, cried. I couldn't break free of the men holding me back, they were too strong.

"Let her go! She's not a witch! I swear! Please!"I beg.

"Shut up Boy!"A man yelled and beat me until I shut up. My sister's hands went to her throat trying to pull the rope off as they toss one end over a tree branch and start pulling. Her little feet kicking wildly as she's lifted into the air, gasping for breath, face red and eyes bulging.

"No!"I yell when she goes up. "Please..." I cry, struggling with all my might to break free and save her. The sound of an angry roar brings everyone attention to the source. Father stood there, his face a mask of anger and pain. His eyes glowed an angry violet color. The night seemed to grow darker as the men shivered in fear, some started to run away, but he chased after them, and slaughtered them all, one by one. Body parts and blood covered the place. The look in father's eyes wasn't of one being sane or reasonable. He was a living breathing demon, killing everything in sight. While father was busy killing, I went to my limp sister's form on the ground and removed the rope, but she was already gone. I closed her eyes and laid her down.

The sudden hand around my throat, caught me off guard. "Father what are you doing?! Stop!"I gasp as father started choking the breath from me, his cold fingers tightly wrapped around my neck.  Father snarled at me with fangs in his mouth, unable to comprehend the words coming from my mouth. I forced a hand against his face and pushed with all my might to no avail.

I realized that I may die right here and then, but I refused such a fate. I dug my fingers in father's eyes, feeling sick to the stomach in doing so. Father yelled in pain and let go. I shove him off and keep pressing my fingers in then ripped them out. I was breathing heavily with the action of doing such a thing. I bent down and grabbed one of the abandoned torches and hit him full on in the face. It was all a blur in time after that and when I could see clearly again, I held a knife, covered in blood, and what was left of  father laid at my feet.

I threw up when I realized what I had done. "What have I done?"I whisper with shaky hands and wiped as much blood off of me as I could. I gazed around the chaos around me, my eyes landing on mother's burnt corpse and  Ophelia's dead body. "What haven't I done? I could have saved them dammit! I should have tried harder dammit!" I cry slamming my fists into the ground, whispering it over and over again. I spent the rest of the night gathering up as much as I could; kindling and bodies into one pile. Then I set it all ablaze and watched until there was nothing left and the rain began putting out the fire. I knelt on the ground and sent a quick prayer.

"Forgive me, for I have sinned.."I ended. I walk away from the charred ruins and collapse on the side of the road with nothing left, no family, no nothing.

The sound of someone approaching me, made me lift my gaze from where I knelt in the mud, dragging me from my dark past. My eyes were clouded from rain and wet hair. The footsteps stopped in front of me, I felt the rain stop hitting my face, as someone leaned down in front of me with an umbrella.

"Are you alright?"She asked, pushing the wet hair from my face.

My eyes widened. "You!...What are you doing here?" I stutter and back away from her. Her eye brows dipped into a confused expression.

"Everyone's been looking for you. I'm Rosalie by the way, its finally nice to meet you."She said sticking out a hand to help me up. I could not, not look away from her, from her blonde hair that hung short to her shoulders, from the small dimpled smile and her deep blue eyes that stared at me.

"M'Lady?"I ask confused

"Excuse me?"She said.

"Who are you?.."I ask.

"I said my name is Rosalie, I'm the one who married Richard." She said........
