When I finally woke up it was half past noon already. "I don't think I've ever fallen asleep that quick for that long." I stretch, cuddling back under the covers with Eliza. "I think I might sleep for a bit more.."
"Shit!"I say bolting up in bed. "I mean, shoot! I missed the meeting. Gotta get ready, first I have to return Eliza to her parents."I scoop her up and leave the bedroom. My stomach growled loudly. "Then some food." I say nodding at my forming plan. My stomach growled some more. "Okay, maybe some food first."
I head to the kitchen and ransack the cooler of blood. I grabbed two bags, heated them up real quick and drank them without pause between each. "God that was delicious."I sigh licking my lips. "Tastes a bit weird though, maybe wasn't warm enough."Shrugging it off and continued looking for either Richard or Rosalie.
It hit all of a sudden, pain radiating from my stomach and up my throat, burning. "What the...ughh.."I fought the urge to throw up, grounding my teeth together from the effort. Eliza pats my cheek and says Lu.
"Richard!"I bellow just before I couldn't hold it in anymore and bent over, violently threw up the blood I had just drank; luckily Eliza was down away from me and my smelly mess before I up chucked breakfast. It burned my throat as it came back up. I could smell the sizzling of flesh from where it touched my skin. Silver, I hissed. Someone threw open the curtains, bringing more light to the room. The light blinded me and i subconsciously hissed, cringing from it, even though I never had a problem with the sun's rays before. I glare at Richard who stared at me with confusion and shock.
"Close the god damned curtains." I hiss angrily. I just wanted the pain gone, it was becoming unbearable now. Shadows from all directions came flooding in and enveloping them in complete darkness. The coolness of the dark soothed my eyes and skin, but it was so pitch black, even my heightened eyes couldn't see a thing.
"Great now I can't fucking see." I say. Moving a hand, the shadows moved, allowing some light. I wave my arms around and the shadows all moved and shifted. "Interesting.."I say playing around with the new found ability until I was able to remove all the shadows and see again. Richard was holding a crying Eliza, his eyes wide.
"My food was poisoned with silver. I want all the blood trashed and replaced immediately. I'm going to find the bastard who did it." I growled.
"Alright." Richard stuttered. "Um... the head witch is here and waiting for you in the library and the factions are outside arguing. I was trying to stop them when I heard you call for me."
"Alright. You may also wanna have the servants prepared for a big clean up." I warn. My stomach didn't hurt as much, but I knew that there was still some within my system.
I made my way outside, the sky darkening even though it was a beautiful day outside, glaring at the arguing group outside. I breathed their scents deeply, finding one that had a familiar smell to the blood. Without waiting, I pushed and shoved my way through the group and lunged at the shabby looking pure blood, whose eyes looked ready to pop out of his head when he saw me coming at him.
"Ah ah ah, where do you think your going asshole? I have some questions that your gonna answer."I grabbed the vampire by the back of the neck and hauled his ass back into the group. Everyone backed up a little and gave them some space, but watched the ordeal.
"Does everyone know what happens to traitors?"I shout lifting a hand; the sky darkens some more.
"Banishment!" One yelled.
"Death!"another yelled.
"A horrendous death awaits you indeed."I growl in his ear. The vampire struggled and fear coated him heavily to the point it was suffocating.
"My Lord! I have no idea what your accusing me of!"He sputtered.
"Now you deny what you've done? Arrogant piece of trash. What was in the blood!"
"Human child blood and silver! I don't know what else I swear M'lord! Please believe me.." He whimpered. I shov him hard on the ground.
"You DARE feed me the blood of a human child?! Laced with silver at that! Who put you up to this?" I snarl angrily. Not only was the blood of a human child potent as fuck it was severely addicting and made vampires lose their mind. I had outlawed the consumption of it long ago.
"The resistance sent it to me, I know nothing else I swear!"
"Listen up! Anyone associated with the resistance will go on trial! Anyone who is in the resistance, shall be captured and those who bring me them alive will get a reward. Spread that around." I say. "And you bumbling piece of filth,"I spat at the traitor on the floor who cowered away from me. "I'll leave your life to those around you and they shall be forgiven for fighting." Leaving him for death among his peers, I went to find a secluded spot.
Hidden behind some trees and bushes and I shove fingers down my throat and force myself to throw up the rest. "Fuck!" I growl, already feeling the withdrawals from the child's blood. I wipe shaky hands on my pants. I slouch against the tree, trying gather strength and make it back to my room to shower and change clothes. I shuffle my feet, on my way to the library. I see no one and take a seat at a desk. I lean back and close my eyes.
"What's the matter, Lysander?" said a soft womanly voice to my left.
