We checked out of the hospital after confirming and organizing the paperwork. The nurse later gave me a receipt for my expenses and I nearly had a heart attack. The white slip of paper read three thousand dollars and on the bottom was Zayn's signature confirming the payment he had made. I wanted to forget about this error that I had made but Liam was still skeptical and continued to pester me with questions that I didn't feel like answering.

"I'm having a hard time believing this, what exactly did you do?"

"Liam I don't know. All I did was walk in, pay for the damn thing and then walk out."

"You couldn't of have asked for his name at least? That could have helped with-"

"That's it! I can just go back to him and ask him to undo all of this" I said while flailing my arms with enthusiasm

"Um Niall, I have to go back to work, and you're in no condition to be off by your self in the streets. I'll drive you home alright?"

I reluctantly agreed and we continued walking towards Liam's car in silence.

I desperately needed to talk to the old man and somehow convince him to help me, but with Liam constantly looking over me it was no use. I rested my head back against the seat and gazed out the window, when i noticed we were entering a highway. I jumped up and averted my attention to Liam who seemed to be startled from my sudden movement.

"What? what's wrong?"

"My grandmother's house is off that highway right there, why don't you drop me off at her house?"
I said pointing towards an empty highway ramp.

"Alright that's fine as long as you get some rest"

He patted my arm and smiled genuinely, then shifted his attention back to the open road.

Guilt had found its way into my thoughts and I felt terrible for lying to Liam. I wasn't going to my grandmother's house but instead to the old man's, since his location was relatively close.

We exited the highway and drove through some streets before I pointed to a random house, telling him that was my grandmother's. Liam tried to help me out of his car but I refused his offer simply telling him that I felt better and less sore even thought it wasn't the truth. I limped slightly then regained my composure reminding myself that I needed to look unfazed, as if the fight had never harmed me in any way.

"I'll call her so she can know you're here." Liam said, turning to walk up the set of stairs that lead to the front door.

"No, wait!" I grabbed his arm and clung on to him, preventing him from walking any closer to the house.

"Niall stop. What is wrong with you?" I'm trying to help you and all you do is act like a child." He tried to shrug me off of him but I wouldn't budge.

I finally let go and he turned around to face me, a look of confusion and annoyance were present on his face.

"Niall what's going on? You're acting so strange ever since that fight you had with Zayn and now you claim that he's in love with you?" He rubbed his hands over his face in frustration and paced back and forth on the empty sidewalk.
We stood in silence both of us not uttering a single word. I wanted to prove him wrong and show him that I was telling the truth but it was no use.

It felt like hours went by but in reality it was only a couple of minutes until he spoke to me again.

"I have to go now. They're waiting for me at the shop"
He hung his head low as he walked to the car and stopped just as he was about to get in.
"I hope you get this sorted out and that you stop living in this fantasy of yours. There's a real world here Niall" he held his arms out, motioning to the houses and objects that surrounded us "one that doesn't fantasize about Zayn being in love with you"
