Janet didn't know how long she was dancing with the handsome stranger, and she didn't care.

It wasn't just his looks.

It was his charm. His charisma.

His style.

His use of speech.

He was like the white male version of her. The fast beats never stopped ending. Janet points at her mouth, indicating that she's thirsty. Nash takes her hand and pulls her to the bar.

The bartender eyes them. "You two better be over eighteen."

Janet frowns, letting Nash answer. "We are. We'll just have two glasses of red wine." He nods and walks over to get the alcohol.

Janet and Nash sit on the stools. "How old are you anyway?" Janet asks resting her elbows on the counter. "Twenty? Forty one?"

He chuckles. "No. I'm eighteen actually."

One year older. That's not too bad. "I'm seventeen...tell me about yourself."

"What do you wanna know?"

Janet thinks it over. "How about...everything?" She smiles.

Nash nods thoughtfully. "I rap."

She smirks. "Obviously."

He smirks back. "Right. I also dance. I graduated last year and sent out applications to different universities. I...I got accepted to the School Of Dramatic Arts in New York."

"Seriously? That's awesome! Why're you still here then?"

"...I'm just..." he looks around. "This is my home. I'm gonna miss it...so I'll just enjoy it while it lasts." He sighs. "I prefer to have fun in the present than stress about the future."

Janet thinks it over. "If you make mistakes in the present though, you'll have to deal with the consequences in the future."

Nash looks at her. "That's true. But so far? Everything I've done, and all the people I've met..." He takes her hand. "Are so, so far from mistakes."

Janet blushes as she looks down at their hands. She shakes her head. "Boy you are cheesy."

He grins. "Girls like cheesy." The bartender walks back with their drinks. "Your turn."

Janet bites her lip. "I'll start with my family...my dad's a 'gangster.'"

"Cool...wait what?"

She nods. "Yup. I...I think I'm more like him than anyone else."

"Explain."

"Well...even though I'm a girl, I dress like he used to. I talk like he does...most times. I'm also into rap music. Gangstalicious is one of my personal favourites."

Nash looks up. "He's the gay one, right?"

Janet glares at him, crossing her arms under her breast. "Gangstalicious ain't gay."

"Yes he-"

"He. Ain't. Gay."

Nash chuckles. "Whatever let's you sleep at night, princess."

"Whatever." She rolls her eyes before sipping her wine.

"Tell me more."

"What you wanna know?"

Nash smirks. "I dunno. How about...everything?"

Janet smirks.
