I try to shake everything off as I make my way to the ceremonies with Kal, but it's hard to do so. Manara is the daughter of Snow's granddaughter, she could have come to me or my parents and helped us defeat Fallon. But instead she's trying to protect us from her mother? It's only going to risk her life even more.

Kal notices there's something wrong with me in the elevator going down to where the ceremonies for the Games took place. "You okay?" He whispers. My parents don't take notice, they're having their own discussion in the corner. I look at him, "Yeah, just a bit nervous." I lie.

He gives my hand a squeeze and we end up locking hands. He looks identical to me only with a tuxedo and less makeup. I know the second we step off the elevator, the paparazzi will be all over us. They must be dieing to get pictures of The Victor and the girl who miraculously survived.

We stop abruptly, and when I turn I see how my father pressed the "Stop" button.

"We need to have a quick talk about whats to come." My father says, rather quickly.

"We're not gonna do what we did when we were crowned victors without your consent." My mother says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"It's up to you guys what you want to do and where you want to go from now on." She continues.

"I'm still very confussed." Kal adds on.

"Are you guys going to be star crosses lovers or enemies?" The question becomes an Echo in the elevator suddenly.

"Are you guys serious?" I ask.

"The public is going to want a straight foward answer. Pluto will be asking and you guys are going to have to answer. Fallon only specified that something went wrong and it turned out that you weren't dead until they checked you were still up and alive, AFTER Kal won the Games." My mother explains.

I look at Kal, who looks just as unconvinced about his feelings as I am. What could be the consequences of being together? Would anything really change if they weren't?

"They're going to ask about the medicine." My father says.

Kal and I look at eachother.

"They're going to ask what went wrong and so much more towards it. You guys need to figure out right how you're going to answer."

I bite my lip. I remember how much I hated Kal before they explained everything about the medicine. How it was the signal for the Districts to shut down, that I wasn't really going to die.

"I'll take care of that question. I'll just need Elissa to go with everything." He turns to me. "Can you do that?"

I don't know where he's going to go with all of this, I guess all I can really do is trust him. I nod my head yes.

"Now also remember how Fallon has no idea it was a signal for the Districts, or that it was really the medicine that killed and brought back Elissa to life." My mother explains.

Kal nods his head, understanding. "Don't worry, I got it under control."

We all agree on that. But apparently something else strikes into my mothers mind before she presses the button to start the elevator again.
