God knows I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to break your heart
(Your heart baby)
God knows I never meant to turn you out, turn you out
Never meant to take it that far, that baby
God knows I never meant to hurt you
Hurt you, hurt you, hurt you, hurt you, hurt you"Cook-" Before I could finish saying her name, she had slapped the shit out of me. I wanted to cry because that shit hurt like hell. Cookie always did have a powerful right hand.
She inched towards Carol and Carol flinched. "Bitch you ain't even worth it, and I called you my sister," she said as she spit in Carol's face. She stormed passed both me and Carol. "Really dad? Really?" Andre yelled as he pushed me and ran after Cookie. I took a deep breath and looked up at Carol.
Candace was going to pay for this shit. Oh she most definitely was going to pay. I put my hands in my pocket, put my shades on and walked away not once looking back.
Cookie -
"Ma, ma," Jamal said as he grabbed my arm.
"I can't-"
"No come here ma," he said as he grabbed me by my waist. I buried my head in his neck as the tears fell down my eyes. He gently rubbed my back as he kissed my cheek.
I felt Hakeem rest his head on top of mines as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Ma it's going to be okay, ma," Andre said as he kissed my cheek. I grabbed a napkin from out my purse and wiped my face.
"You're father, he's done some damaging things to me, but it's never been nothing like this," I sobbed.
"Just like he lied about killing Bunky," Hakeem replied.
"Come on Hakeem you don't have any proof of that," Jamal replied.
"Jamal there you go being stupid again, he killed Bunkie just like he killed Uncle Vernon,"
Just then Andre coughed and sneezed. Something about his change of body language sent red flags, he knew something that we didn't.
"Andre you okay baby?" I asked. "Yea I'm good, you know it's my allergies," he replied. "Okay baby go back inside I need you to be there with Rhonda," I replied as I looked him up and down.
"Alright, I love you ma, we gone get through this," he said as he gave me a hug," "yes baby we will, remember we're family we don't hide things from each other so if you find out something, let me know," I said as I gave him a stern look.
He nodded and then gave Hakeem and Jamal a hug. "Hakeem, Jamal, I need you to to follow me," I replied as I put my shades on.
We walked over to my limo and we got in, my mind was all over the place. I could barely think straight. It felt good to have Hakeem and Jamal with me. I just wish I knew what Andre knew. He was hiding something and I was determined to find out what.
Samantha-
"Ms Lyon, you exceptional as always," Mrs. Brenton smiled as I grabbed my gym bag.
"Thank you so much Mrs. Brenton," I smiled as I tied my hair up into a tight bun.
"Hey are you by any chance related to that rapper guy Luscious Lyon?" She asked.
My heart began to pound instantly. "Uh no, why do you ask?" I asked.
"You sort of favor him.. Oh what the heck maybe it's because your last name is Lyon," she laughed.
"Yeah, well we're not related," I smiled nervously.
"Okay well don't forget eight o'clock Monday morning," she smiled.
"Alright I won't forget," I said as I grabbed my car keys.
I left the theater and headed towards the parking lot.
Just as I made it to my car I stopped dead in my tracks, I couldn't believe who it was. Luscious Lyon standing up against my blue Toyota Camry.
"Luscious," I said as I nervously walked up to him.
"Samantha," he said as he took off his shades. He stood there smiling.
"What brings you by dad?" I asked as I bumped my trunk. I placed my gym bag inside and slammed my trunk.
"I need you to do me a favor," he smiled as he pulled out a thick Manila envelope.
"What's that?" I asked.
"I'm trying to build a legacy, a legacy for my family, and I'm afraid you don't fit in that legacy so I need you to disappear,"
"Really?" I said almost wanting to cry. I couldn't believe it. My own father.
"Look Samantha, you were never supposed to happen, you were a mistake, a mistake I'm trying to fix, so I need you to do a favor, do us all a favor, my entire family a favor and disappear, leave," he said as he handed me the envelope.
I couldn't help but let the tears stream down my face.
"In this envelope is two hundred thousand dollars, hard cold cash, take it, leave and start a new life somewhere else," he smiled as he tried to give me the envelope.
"Go to hell!" I yelled as I smacked the envelope out his hand.
"I've warned you!" He yelled.
"Fuck you!" I yelled as I hopped inside my car and pulled off. Just when I thought my day was going great.
Andre -
"Mr. Lyon," Dr. Hampton said as he came into the waiting room.
"Is everything okay with Rhonda?" I asked.
"Yes she's fine, unfortunately she had a miscarriage," he replied.
I held my head down. "She lost a lot of blood and we still have to run a few tests, but I'm curious as to how did she in on the floor?"
"I don't know that's where I found her," I replied with a tear falling down my eye.
"Alright, we're going to run some more tests and get back to you," he replied.
"Alright, thanks Doc," I said as I sat down.
I couldn't help but let the tears fall down my eyes as I thought on loosing my son. But I guess the bright side was that Rhonda was fine, I just prayed that God would let me be strong for her.
Anika -
I couldn't help but smile as I looked at my healthy baby boy on the screen. I was so happy to be pregnant, and so ready to be a mother.
I was sorry for what I did to Rhonda but it had to be done. My son would be the only heir to the Empire legacy. Considering know that his father reigned over the thrown and not his grand father.
I couldn't wait until my bundle of joy got here. I wanted to hold him, and squeeze him tight, kiss his cheeks. I prayed he looked just like Hakeem. I hoped he could sing, dance, or maybe even be a rapper like Hakeem. Whatever he was I knew he would be great.
