Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep, goes the book in my dream. Wait a second, books aren't supposed to sound like that! "YOU'RE GOING TO BE TOO LATE! GET UP!!!" Screams a butterfly near a puffy pink cloud tree. Is my book a bomb? I quickly drop it and duck and roll over to a cave. As I catch my breath, I feel something tickling my feet. "Stop! Stop!" I shriek, curling up into a ball. "Stop! I'm so ticklish!" As I try to run away, my eyes fly open.
"Rain, I said to wake up!" Kati is standing above me, hands on her hips. "Go away," I mumble, and put a pillow over my head. "No..." Kati pulls my blanket off. "Stop! It's so cold!" "Only if you get up, Rain..." Kati waves my blanket just out of my reach. She is so mean sometimes! "Fine..." I grumble, and get out of bed.
"Now what did you want, Kati? There's no school today. Why am I not in bed?" I ask skeptically, pulling my blanket around me. "Where did you think I'm taking you?" Kati giggles, taking my blanket off of my shoulders. "Why would I know that?" I whine. "And give me my blanket back!" "No!" Kati takes me by the hand and leads me to the kitchen, where Mum and Dad are waiting. I approach them slowly, not knowing what to expect.
"Rain, sit down. We have something to discuss with you." My dad looks as if he's about to burst with pride. I sit down cautiously, wondering what the heck is going on. "What is it, Dad?" What's this all about? "Well, Rain, your Mum told me about what you received in the mail yesterday." Oh! "Oh yeah, that," I cut him off. "I'm sure that was just a prank." I get up to leave, but Kati pulls me back down. "No, Rain." Dad looks like he's not sure how to say whatever he's going to say next."That... That letter? That... Wasn't exactly a prank." My eyes widen and I gasp without meaning to. "Does this mean- that- that... I'm a witch?"
