LOVE AT MY DOORSTEP

"keya" I heard my mom call me out as she entered my room.

"mom please give me sometime alone please"

"its ok dear , it happens. you are just scared because this all is new for you.you are happy but you are also scared. scared of rejection , scared that what would happen if this person leaves you. it happened with me also when I met your dad. so now stop being a child and eat you dinner."

all this time I was listening to my mom with my head down but then as I slowly looked at her I felt some sort of comfort embrace me. I smiled thinking about how mom told me she had felt the same when she met my dad.

"thank you maa"

"you welcome my dear. now have you dinner fast and go to sleep.dont think much"

"ya ok maa"

I quickly had my dinner and decided to read a book. I dont remember when I fell asleep reading that book.

when I woke up next morning all I could hear was my phone ringing. not even looking at the caller id I picked up the call.

'hey girl wake up its 12.30'

'divu whats wrong man let me sleep.its vacation time'

' GET UP KEYA how much will you sleep.? I am outside your house and your new watchman is not letting me in'

'wtf man, wait'

I quickly ended the call and intercomed the watchman to let divu in.when divu came in my room I still lay there on my bed checking my messages.

"get up lazy butt"

"the butts in no mood today man" I said and started laughing myself.

"stop laughing it wasnt even that funny keya"

"ok sorry" I told as I sat on my bed and made place for divu to sit. as soon as she sat I placed my head on her lap and tried sleepin again.

"why were you crying yesterday night.?"divu asked me.

"who said so.? I dint cry "

"ohh so are your eyes just in a mood to swell up.?"

"yup maybe"

" haha.now say"

I hate this.explaining the whole story again.I mean I love to speak. but sometimes I get bored when I have to explain something twice or thrice and something long.still I did explain it to her laying on her lap not feeling the need to get up.after I finished the story divu told me to sit straight.

"ok go fast get ready lets go shopping lets make your mood a bit lighter. anu and sara are busy today so we both have to only go." divu said.

just hearing the word shopping made me jump from my bed and run to the bathroom in a speed that was sure to break the world record.

I quickly had a bath and picked out a jeans and normal tee put on my flip flops took my purse and there I stood ready in front of divu in 10 mins.

"shopping has overpowered you my girl"

"shut up divu and lets get down and have something before leaving"

"ohh ya..I could smell dosa (a south indian dish) today."

"ok fast come"

we quickly entered the dining room. I told ramu kaka to make cheese dosa's for me and divu.I ate like I hadnt eaten food in days because I wanted to go shopping. I showed divu my new car though I had send her the picture earlier and then we sat in divu's car and drove to the Malabar road for shopping.
