"Wow, you seem very tired since that day!" noticed Peter.
Since the fight which occurred between Michael and Daryl, I was mostly thinking of other things... Like Michael's look! I couldn't help but think of it everyday. Daryl, after the fight, went back to his home really late. He told me it was the first time he didn't respect the curfew Michael had gave him. I guessed Mike had given it to him because of all the danger surrounding the gang. But I couldn't say anything that night. Ever since, Michael always glared at me or gave me cold dark looks which made me feel more and more uncomfortable. He also tried to avoid my presence. Always. I didn't know why but I hated that Michael was more apart from me.
"I'm sorry, but all I can say is that you have ruin all your chances for you to get along!" said Jason, once I told him the entire story, "But at the same time, you've done an amazing thing for Daryl. I know, since I met him, he always wanted to be like Mike and Mike know it well and that's why he used to tell him things like "You are too weak" or "You have got nothing from a real man and we're from the same family, though."..."
"Why did he say such horrible things to Daryl which is his brother?"
"Ever since Michael joined the Dark Angels, Daryl wanted to do the same. I think Michael said this to him because he wanted Daryl to feel under the level the Dark Angels wants. Like that, Daryl thought that he was weak and started to change his mind about the gang. But Michael never thought that he would affect him in his life like that."
"So all he wanted was to protect him and to make him think he will never join the gang by saying those things?" I asked as we talked on the corridor together.
"Yes that's about it!" answered Jason with a sad smile, "I just hope this story isn't going to finish badly for both of you, because I love him like a brother but I love you like a sister, big girl!"
We laughed together and I gave him a smile. We entered the classroom together and saw that there was some trouble going there. The teacher was there into the crowd of students our classmates have formed. I saw Sheryl busted out of the crowd.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked her
"That's Peter. Apparently, he have fought with someone but this someone was stronger 'cause when we entered we find him like that, lying on the floor. I'm going to see the nurse now!" she said then ran out of the school.
I tried to find a way until I saw Peter. The teacher was holding his head. His nose and mouth was bleeding and he was unconscious.
"God... What happened... Who could have done this to you?" I whispered
I looked around and met Michael's eyes. As usually, they weren't friendly. He looked back at Peter. The nurse burst in the class. She took the place of the teacher and said
"Does anyone know if this boy has any disease?"
Sheryl, Kelly, Nathan and I answered "No", but a strong voice said the contrary... And it was Michael.
"Yes, he once told me he had Endocarditis, or omething like that, which caused weakness, shortness of breath, malaise, fever... And his bloody nose may be caused by the medicines he takes."
"Okay, thank you, boy. I gotta take your friend out of this room. I'm going to call the ambulance but I think he will be good, guys."
With the help of another boy, she held Peter and got him out of the room on a stretcher. I looked back at Michael, who was going back to his seat, like if everything was okay.
"How does he know for a certain disease Peter may have while Peter hasn't told us anything about it?" asked Sheryl
"I don't know, I'm like you now: shocked and messy inside!" I answered, "Do you know something about it Jason?"
