"Hey Megan look!" said Peter shaking my shoulder.

"Hmm, what?" I asked. At school, the next day, I was putting my books in my locker when Peter dragged my attention to the Dark Angels. Michael was here, but as he had told me, he denied me as usual. What Peter was showing me, was two guys who had taken Jussie's arms. They were dragging him outside of the building.

"Well, Michael was serious when he said he was going to take care of this!"

"What's going on?"

"Well, I think they are dragging him to Michael who will kick his ass so bad he won't be able to walk again! Then, it fits to Michael's feeling about it. He might ask the great master of the gang to exclude Jussie or he will be punished."

"Oh damn, I'm lost..." I sighed.

"Yes, I know that's complicated, I'm going to explain the whole thing to you while walking to the class, okay?"

I nodded

"Well, in each gang there's a great master. He's the one who had created first the gang and all. The big boss you have o respect! Then, when the gangs as the Dark Angels become powerful and huge, they put a leader in each part of the territory they ruled. In this area, the leader is Michael. The leader has the rights on the people the great master has placed on the area with him. He can do whatever fits him. People had to be scared of him, because the reputation of the gang depends of what he does. You understand?"

"Yes, yes sure, continue!"

"So, there are rules the great master put. In this gang, the main rules we're curious about are: Not to stop one of the members when he's doing something bad to someone, BUT the leader have the right to stop him IF, and only if, he had a good reason to have did so. He will have to explain it to the master. If the argument isn't good, the master judges that the leader had lost the main part of the gang's state of mind: the nastiness. And he will "re-explain" this to him, you see? Also, the person who denunciate one of the gang members to the cops has to be killed because he represents a threat to them. Even if this person is one of the member's families like brother, sister, dad, mum, etc... He will get killed. Also when you're a member, the first rule they teach you is, never saved the enemy even if he's from your family or you'll died with him. And that's only rules like this, some are worst."

"Wow that's really something to be in a gang. How Michael can handle this?"

"I don't know, and after all he's the leader!"

"How can you become a leader?"

"The great master chooses you by the actions you had made. If you have done incredible things which mean not always legal, in the gang's favor, you can easily be leader. But sometimes, he imposed you to do something from him, to prove you're loyal to the gang. And if you did it, then he automatically integrate you as a leader. I think it works like that with your sweet neighbor!"

"What kind of things he asked you to do?"

"Most of the time he asked you to kill enemies..."

I jumped a bit at this comment! Did this mean Michael had already killed someone in his life? It could be true as I saw he had a gun and how he had reacted when I asked him what was it for.

"Where did you learn all of this Peter?"

"I wanted to extract Michael from this gang before stopping talking to him. Unfortunately, I failed because he is stubborn, but I learnt a lot about the gang." He sighed.

Even if they weren't talking to each other, I could see that Peter missed Michael. After all, he was his first true friend. We reached to our classroom and during all the hour, Michael and Jussie had vanished.
