First Steps of Disaster

"You can do it Rain Go" said Diane(Rains mom)as Rain start taking her first steps. "Sshh your gonna make her fall"said Daniel (Rains dad). Just as soon as he said that little Rain fell on her bottom as she start giggling it was a memorable day it was just one of those days that seemed to last forever. It seems like the days were so happy it went by so fast and soon those happy moments would be swooped up as disaster soon followed it not knowing the inevitable would be this families disaster. It was a ordinary day Daniel was heading off to the airport on business trip. Diane wanted to go with him to say her final goodbyes so she called the babysitter Gretchen cause it was raining and she didn't want Rain who was know 5 to be out in the cold.Diane kissed baby rain on the forehead and whispered"See you when I get home I love you" and then Rain ran to her dad as he swooped her up in his arms and gave his little girl a kiss and gave her a necklace with a raindrop on it.Little Rain watched with wonder as Daniel put it around her neck "I love you my little Rain i'll see you when I get back"he said as he put her down and headed out.The small child walked toward the window to see them leave and waved till they were out of sight.She had missed her parents already as a tear left her eye and plus she had a horrible feeling she couldnt shake."Raiiiin"Gretchen yelled."Coming"said Rain as she made her way to the kitchen where there was two cups of hot chocolate sitting on the table."Marshmallows or Whip Cream"Gretchen asked "Both please" Rain answered.Only if she knew that would be her last time she would see her parents she would have held them tighter told them how much she loved them but the moment was gone It went by so fast there car slid off the road and hit another car which caused them there lives her dad never made it to the airport.She was tooken out of her home and placed in foster care
were she grew up a child with devastation that could last a lifetime.
