Olivia was pacing a huge chalk board that was hung on her office wall. The green board took up the entire wall so she would have enough space. She was calculating a math problem to figure out were the shot came from. Angela was doing a facial recognition in the FBI database, with no agent coming up.
"What are you doing?"
Jack asked Angela sitting down on the stool that was in front of her big screen.
"The Agent wasn't wearing his tag so I'm trying to find him
through facial recognition."
She sighed when the screen said no match found. Jack looked at her steady in the eyes making sure she would figure out what he's saying.
"Oh my god you're right!"
She exclaimed. Zach was watching the two of them and tried to figure out what Jack was right about.
"About what?"
He asked walking forward seeing Angela extended her search to other agents in a group with the government.
"What if he's not FBI?"
Jack asked Zach which made him nod. A match popped up with the picture of a dead guy.
"Go get them."
Angela said to Zach. He sped and got everyone. He walked into Olivia's office seeing the complex math. He couldn't figure out what it was or the answer.
"It's something a friend taught me in L.A."
She said rember in the first day she met him and smiled.
"Come to Angela's office."
Zach said walking back to Angela's office and smiled seeing Olivia closely behind him.
"So he's not FBI."
Olivia's heart started pounding. She thought of all the things he could be and the worst thing yet.
"What is he?"
She croaked. Her thought felt dry and it cracked as she spoke. She feared it was a hitman after her.
"He's an NSA agent."
Angela said while people's head turned slowly to Olivia.
"What was his name?"
Seely asked so Olivia wouldn't have to speak again.
"Special Agent Jeff Dickson."
A tear rolled down Olivia's check hearing the last name and her sister was the only on that knew why. Jack rubbed her back gently to comfort her. Olivia pushed him away and ran to her office closing the door and closing the blinds. She looked at her math. The only thing that never failed her. She resumed working on the problem at hand. Angela looked at Temperance in a wandering manner.
"Her best friend at the NSA was one Special Agent Heather Dickson. His wife."
Angel nodded then looked at the office.
"Leave her alone she'll come out when she's ready or done."
Angela nodded in the commands that were told to her gently but also like a dog protecting its young showing teeth. Everyone just stayed in the office since there was nothing they could do to help this case. They all felt useless since it was Olivia that was holding the cards to the case. She squeezed out in excitement. Temperance looked at Jack. He nodded his head and ran to the office smiling. He burst open her door.
"What?"
He asked knowing already she found out where the gunshot came from. She ran to the hook behind her door grabbing her long trench coat.
"I found where the shot came from."
She said walking out. Jack followed in pursuit with Seely and Temperance behind him. Olivia led them to a building two down from where the shot killed a man. It was a hotel. They went in showing their badges and walking strait to the roof. Olivia didn't say anything till she got on the roof.
"This exact spot is where the shooter was."
She said kneeling down acting out what happened. She nodded seeing how if she shot the glass would've made the pattern it did.
"What kind of gun could do this? Make a specific pattern?"
Jack asked looking at the window I the FBI building. Everyone looked at Seely. He always knew what kind of guns could do what kind of stuff. He huffed a breath thinking deeply about all the guns.
"This is a new one from Iraq."
He said looking at Olivia. She humbled a big lump in her throat. She fought a war there. Something she'll always regret. She walked down the stair well with her sister behind.
"We need to take a look at the case he was working on."
She said getting in the car.
"I know how to get there."
She sped off when Temperance shut the door. A few hours later they arrived at Heathers house. Heather was at the window, waiting for her husband to come home. Olivia walked up with her face that made Heather open the her mouth and start to cry. Olivia quickly hugged the sobbing woman. Temperance stood their awkwardly. About five minutes later, Heather broke away from Olivia embrace and started to speak.
"This must be your sister, Temperance."
She said wiping the tears off her face, the other arm extended out for her to shake hands. Temprence grabbed her hand with both of hers and smiled smelly.
"I'm very sorry for your lost."
Heather nodded and started walking to the living room. Olivia followed along with Temperance. Olivia sat down across from the barely calm woman. Temperance looked at the pictures of Heathers family and friends. Seeing her sister in almost all of the pictures.
"Heather, I need to know what case he was working on."
Olivia said slowly and softly. It was like Heather was a small child now, being talked to like she was in trouble and the parent was trying to stay calm.  Heather nodded and picked up a case file from under the couch.  She handed it to Olivia.
"He thought it was spree killing at first before I figured out the pattern."
Heather spoke as Olivia and Temperances eyes widened at the big picture of Olivia in the front. Olivia's bottom lip quivered.
"The killer is killing people you know."
Temperance said very scared with why he was doing this. Olivia read the file. She nodded in remark to a line in the report that Jeff made.
   "Stay in touch Heather."
Olivia said, quickly getting up and taking the file with her for further examination. Temperance said goodbye to Heather then caught up with Olivia, who was putting the key in the ignition. She started to drive in silence. Temperance knew not to push her to talk or it would result in blood or tears. Olivia stormed into her office upon arriving at the Lab. Temperance went to her office to find Jack sitting there. He quickly stood up.
"Is everything alright? Where's Olivia?" He asked worried something may have happened to her.
  "No Hodgins she's fine."
Temperance said sitting in her desk chair. She motioned for him to shut the door. Jack obliged. He then say across from her waiting to hear the words in her head.
"I've noticed that you care deeply for my sister,"
Temperance paused her speech to see Jacks reaction. His face turned bright red, since he thought he was being discreet.
"But I must warn you the only real relationship she's ever been in was with Casey, who can get envious and violent, and Olivia is very shut down."
Temperance meant emotionally shut down, or guarded. And it was true. As the woman of the conversation was cooped up in her office trying to figure out why this person was trying to kill her, and her sister was lecturing Jack about Olivia, Lance was doing his own research. He was trying to figure out what really pressed Olivia's buttons. He wanted to see what would make her either break down in tears, or make her blind with red and white hot flashes of rage. Jack nodded at the end of Temperances words, the slowly walked out of her office. Temperance then examined Jeff's bones. Angela walked into Olivia's office and sat in the flier across from her.
"Sweetie you have to get out of here."
Olivia shook her head furiously.
"Not until I figure out the next victim and why he wants to find me."
Angela's eyes widened.
"Olivia do you know who is trying to find you?"
She asked in her own voice. It was a loving motherly tone that made everyone Angela talked to feel safe and secure. Olivia nodded.
"Someone from Iraq."
