Dear diary,
Hi there, it's uh been a while since I've had a diary. But, ever since my life has changed as much as it has, I thought it would be a good thing to get one. My name is Mia and I'm 16 years old, currently a sophomore in high school. So, there's your little bit of information about me, um, so back to the point. Three months ago my house had been caught in flames. But, the house wasn't the only thing to go. My mother as well. She was alone in that house and she went down with it. We had to move to this new house in Jacksonville North Carolina and I have a new school. So far I have no friends, but that doesn't bother me. My father is my friend, my best friend actually. He cares about me more than ever now and protects me from anything possible. I'm glad to have him. Me and my mom were extremely close, so I guess he knew I had taken the hardest hit from it. Well, I'm running out of room, so, I guess this is my departure, um, bye..
