November 12th

Dear Corey,

I've been on the road almost a week now. It's an 18 hour drive from Miami to New York. But I want the full running away experience. So I've been in Myrtle Beach for a couple nights working at this really cute cafe on the beach. The people are really nice and I'm just sleeping in my car in the parking lot with Caramel. She loves being right next to the beach. And when I'm working, my boss Luke lets me put her out back in the yard. He offered to let me stay at his place but I turned him down because I'm not going to be here long. Maybe another night or two and he gets that. Luke has been pretty good at helping me keep my mind off of things. And he's a super nice guy. Says we should keep in touch when I leave. Which is pretty cool. I never really thought about the people I would meet along the way. But so far, no serial killers. Which is a pretty good start.

Anyway, Amanda sounds like a tough deal Corey. Sorry about that. Not trying to be unsympathetic but I told you so. I always thought she was too uptight. I'm glad your coming to your senses. Definitely let her go if she is making your trip unbearable. You've been looking forward and saving for this as long as I can remember don't let some girl ruin that for you Corey. What's next on your adventure? Where are you going? I want to be with you on your adventure too. Anyway I'm writing this on my break. But we are getting slammed so I should probably get back to work. I love it here Corey. I'm so glad I did this. Best decision ever. But I just can't help but wonder what my parents are thinking. Honestly I hope they never find me. Miss you a bunch Corey. Can't wait to meet you somewhere along the way. Hopefully I'll make enough money to leave the country.
