"Chen, you sure you want to do this? You really don't have to, you should rest", Kai gives me a sympathetic smile. I hated feeling this way, as if I wasn't able to do anything. I didn't understand why people couldn't see that by behaving the way they have, only reminds me of what's coming up. I don't hint any humour like I always do as I threaten her, "Kai, stop. It's not because of the financial problems I am opting to do this, I want to do this because before being pressurised to take up a course which results in a wealthy job, I wanted this. Stop with that bullshit, like I am not capable to do anything". She presses her lips into a thin line and looks down at the floor, "I guess". I huff and throw a pillow on her, "Stop being like that, you know how much I hate it". She smiles weakly and sits beside me. We keep mum for a few minutes before she says, "I'll miss you when you are gone, you know that right?". And I know she will, she is my closest friend and has been since the past few years. I hug her from behind, "ssh, don't say goodbyes already". She inhales loudly, as in an attempt to stop herself from crying. I rub her shoulder in order to comfort her. I cannot help what's coming but I can always do something I want before it arrives so I have decided to become a florist. I loved flowers. Especially when they blossom.
