" Hey Yamato, the cherry blossoms are finally out and blooming you know." I told my husband on a nice Sunday morning.

" Yeah, I can't believe it's almost spring time. The cherry blossom festival is something we'll definitely go see as a family." He replied back as he rocked Ushio around in his arms causing her to giggle.

" I can't wait to go see it, maybe my uncle and the  others would like to come too. "

" Hope so, we'll all go and watch. Anyway Ushio will be turning-" Yamato stopped his own words after hearing a knock on the door.

" I wonder who that could be." I said and went to open the door. Once I opened it I saw Masaomi. "Masaomi! Hey, how's it going?"

As usual, he had his sunglasses on when there was barely any sunlight outside. " Let me in! Let me in! Crazy fans outside! Hurry move!" He nudged his way into the house.

" Oh, your famous friend his here, and why exactly?" Yamato questioned curiously as he put Ushio on the floor.

" Sorry for stopping by on such short notice. I was taking a nice clam walk and then all of a sudden crazy fans come chasing after me. I saw your house and I needed cover to hide from them, so I stopped by here. And thanks for letting me in." Mas explained.

" You um...let yourself in, Masaomi. Well it must be tough being a rock star isn't it? " I asked.

" Hell yeah it is, but hey it is what it is. Anyway.....Awwwww! Look at little Ushio! Starting to crawl already! She's so adorable! I just wanna squeeze her face!" He said and carried Ushio on his lap.

" Mhm, she's starting to become a handful. Hard to believe Ushio's already eight months now." I added with a smile. Yeah...she's getting bigger and bigger by the day.

" Yamato and her share the same birthday too right? That's pretty cool.."

" Yup, we do. " Yamato budged in and said with a big grin on his face.

" Hey Yammy, I see you're still in good shape. Makes me happy. " Mas complimented.

" I guess, I've lost a lot of weight over the past few weeks." Yamato replied. As the two talked, I silently walked away into the bathroom and just stood in there.

Why do I feel like crying? No, this is no time to be shedding tears. I should be enjoying my moments with Yamato, because in any moment....he could just....die.

* Later that day *

" This is really relaxing..." I told Yamato as we walked through a path in the park surrounded by cherry blossoms. Ushio pointed at the many trees as she sat in her stroller.

" Sure is, the cherry blossoms sprung pretty early this year. I was not expecting them to be in bloom by now. " Yamato added as he held my hand and pushed the stroller with the other.

" Ever wonder if the trees have their own language? " I suddenly asked.

" As a kid, I thought that. On windy days, when the trees would sway back and forth, I felt like they'd be talking with each other. But maybe you're right. Just like we do, nature has its own language. " He told me and kissed my cheek out of the blue.  " And just like you and I, we have our own language too. "

What he whispered into my ear just now, sent soothing shivers down my spine and around my body.  I suddenly turned his head and faced it with mine.

There we stood, eye to eye. The tips of our noses touched. Surrounded by blossoms.

" I wish we could stay like this forever. You make me happy. You're the reason why I'm fighting so much right now, Laila." Yamato whispered.  I smiled and kissed his lips softly. Then embraced him.

" I love you." I told him as we tightly held each other.

" I love you too. More than anything."
Moments like these make me wanna cry, I've never figured out why...but it's really emotional. Sometimes I feel like it'll be the last thing we ever do.  "Laila, when we get home...can we..?"

" Ahhhh umm...I don't think that's a very good idea right now. But trust me, right when you start getting better, we'll have our alone time. I promise. I promise we'll do whatever you want once you're cured." I promised as we continued to walk through the pathway of blossoms.

* Next Day *

" Aha! I do see some improvement Mr.Kougami. You had very low levels in many sections of your body last time you came, but now, they're magically back up and running smoothly. What strong medications are you taking?" The doctor asked Yamato, we were at another appointment today.

" I'm still on the same medications, the ones you prescribed last time. And wow that's great news! So am I getting better!?! Will I get cured soon?" He jumped to questions and conclusions.

" Not yet, but this improvement is really shocking. I've honestly never seen such low levels go higher and back to normal in only a few days. Whatever you're doing, just keep doing it. Thanks for visiting, I'm very elated in these stats." The doctor said and led us out the door.

" Wow, that's terrific. The doctor was very pleased wasn't he? " I stated as we walked out the building. I pushed Ushio in the stroller as we walked home.

" It's almost like...a miracle. I can actually beat this." He said to himself.

" You will beat it, trust me. I won't let this cancer take you away from me and everybody else. " I told Yamato.

" Hey, remember the day we met?"

" Um, of course. Why bring it up so suddenly?"

" We met in the springtime. I remember when Kunihiko introduced all of us to you, you were so cute. It's really hard to believe that when I saw a beautiful girl walk into the bar, never in my wildest dreams knew that she'd be my wife, and mother to my child." He spoke.

" Yamato..."

" I'm just so lucky, and that's all."
