Chapter 3

And if my heart wasn't broken before, it definitely was now.

I opened my eyes and everything was a blur, i moved my arm and realized I was lying down on a bed... my bed. How the hell did i get here?What happened.

I got up and stretched my limbs, for some reason my whole body felt numb. That's when i remember what Collin had told me "Your father has her", I ran down stairs as fast as my legs would carry me when i heard two voices i couldn't recognize just yet.

"She had the right to know!"

"If she didn't hate me then she definitely hates me now, you ruined everything you good for nothing piece of-"

"Don't you finish that sentence,Mother'. The venom of my words dripping from my lips

"Collin has been here for me in the last few hours then you have been your whole FUCKING life. So if any ones a no good piece of SHIT it's you, you DRUNK"

Colling appeared beside me. How long has he been there?

"Ellie stop before you say something you regret, come lets just go you dont deserve this"

"yeah RUN RUN AWAY LIKE YOU ALWAYS DID COLLIN NEVER FACE ANY OF YOUR PROBLEMS"

"ELLIE LET IT GO PLEASE!"

That's when I had realized my hand was around my mothers throat as i pushed her up the wall, i've never had so much strength.

"ELLIE let.go.now or so help me" Collin used the voice that scared the living shit outta me so I instantly let go.

"I-IM sorry i didnt realize what i was doing" I looked at my mother and saw the look of fear on her face and felt so much guilt. I stepped forward her and she trembled back.

"Mom, I'm so sorry"

"leave, get out and don't ever come back either of you. You'll always be mistakes both of you" she said barely above a whisper

And i saw red all over again "MISTAKES? THE ONLY MISTAKE HERE IS YOU BEING OUR MOTHER YOU NO GOOD SELFISH WOMAN. YOU COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT YOUR OWN SON! HE HAD TO FUCKING LEAVE BECAUSE YOU MARRIED A NO GOOD KIDNAPPING ABUSIVE MOTHER-"

"ELLIE, lets go now. No more"  Collin grabbed my wrist took me to my room and told me to pack a bag.

"where are we going Collin?"

"i have a place a few blocks from here, you're staying there from now on am i understood?"

I felt as if i should actually feel hurt but i didn't i felt as if some weight and been lifted off my shoulders. So i didn't argue and i packed a bag, grabbed my laptop, a picture of Lilly and I, My car keys and went down stairs to meet Collin outside. But risking a second glance back before i closed the front door there she was chugging back another bottle. She'll never change...

I closed the door locked it and saw Collin patiently waiting for me at the end of the drive way, we both got into my beat up car and he led the way.

We reached this decent sized house a few minutes later, whoa he was pretty well of to afford a house like this.

"good he's home." A car i hadn't realized before was parked in the drive way, a pretty nice one I'd say.

"Who?"

"I'll tell you when you meet him"

He grabbed my bag, unlocked the door and let me in.

"Sam! Bro! You here?"

From the other side of the house i heard the most perfect voice i think i've ever heard in my life.

"Yeah. Hold on I just got out of the shower give me a minute"

"Well I'll show you to your new room sis" when he said sis i felt loved again. His eyes were so sincere when he said it and i just hugged him.

Then there was an awkward cough in the hallway so we both turned around and i saw the most flawless man i've ever set eyes on.

"Sam this is-"

"Ellie, I presume?"

I couldn't form any words to reply to him, i couldn't even breathe.

I let out a shaky laugh "Yes, Hi..."

He smiled and i swear my heart stopped beating.

"Wellllll, ima take her to her room now."

"Oh, yeah right. Well nice to meet you El"

A nickname? I felt my stomach do a back flip. STOP IT ELLIE

"If your done ogling my roommate we can go" Collin had a smirk on his face

"I was NOT!" Sounding more defensive then it should've/

"Yeah yeah yeah let's go"

He led me to a room that took my breath away it had huge bay windows looking out onto the frozen lake right outside. Faint blue walls and a HUGE bed that looked like angels sewed it together. 

What? i'm only 19 ive never seen anything like it.

"Its incredible thank you"

and all of a sudden i felt exhausted and beat, i guess the adrenaline rush subsided and now I could barely stand.

"Go to sleep Ellie, you looked exhausted. Sam's making dinner i'll wake you when it's ready." He began to close the door but i panicked i never closed my door it's always been my fear.

I guess he saw the fear on my face and connected the dots.

"your safe now El, I know you don't know that now but i promise no further harm will come to you here. I'll leave the door open though."

and after hearing his words I felt safe and drifted off into a sleep that felt like a coma.
