Chapter Four

I woke up to the most amazing smell in the world, that's when I remembered Sam was making dinner. Hm? Good looking, and can cook? okay stop Ellie you have other things to worry about, Lilly. Then all the temporary amnesia wore off and I could feel the heartache all over again.

I sat up and felt gross so I decided to take a hot shower and maybe relax for a little while. I didn't realize i was in the shower for about an hour and a half until Collin knocked on my door. "El, dinners ready come down when your ready."

I quickly threw one of Lilly's hoodies and some leggings , her scent instantly surrounded me and I felt safe. I hurried down the stairs and saw Collin sitting at the table with Sam having what seemed to be like a serious conversation. Collin's jaw was tense and Sam's eyes where cold. 

"what happened to waking me up bro?" I had to say something to ease the tension in the room, and by the looks of it i had. They both snapped out of this mood they were in and smiled up at me. What could've gotten them so tense? i'll ask Collin later..

"Sup squirt, dinners ready." Collin had a smirk on his face and a glint in his eyes

"Well thanks for telling me now, the food smells amazing Sam" 

His face had an expression of shock as if he didnt expect me to speak to him but he recovered quickly to an expression i;d have to say was cocky and overly confident.

"Of course it does, i cooked" I saw the teasing glint in his eyes which must i say was the sexiest thing ever.

"Time to eat, ill set the table you and Sam get the food out."

Me and Sam went for the door at the same time simultaneously clashing into each other, he mumbled a sorry and let me through first.

Sam was collecting the salad and dressing as i was taking out the food in the oven, forgetting i didn't have a mitt on i reached for it "OW, SHIT"

Sam was next to me within seconds" El, are you okay?" concern written all over his chiseled features

"Yeah im fine, just a little burn".

"Let me see it"

"Your a doctor now too?" I said as i looked up at him to see him standing only a few inches away from me. I froze completely.

How hot can one man be lord!

"Just let me see, smart ass."

I reluctantly gave him my hand and I couldn't help but notice the tingles across my skin i felt as he gently skimmed my hand. I don't know if he felt anything if he did he recovered quickly.

"um so Doc how bad is it?" 

he chuckled and looked at me.

"You wont die, so i guess your free to go"

"thanks."

"Just don't hurt those pretty little hands of yours, they are very useful" and for some reason his statement made me feel as if there was two meanings to that. I could feel the heat rush up into my face.

"that's cute"

"what is?" i was honestly confused.

"Your face when you blush" he winked at me and left the kitchen.

I'm sure my jaw was on the floor at this point, but i recovered fairly quickly. My face was probably still red when I collected everything and sat and joined them.

We all served ourselves and surprisingly enough Sam said grace. We began to eat and speak as if we knew each other for years, well they did anyways i kinda just sat back and ate while i watched them.

"So college El?" Collin snapped me out of my trance

"Oh well, um me and Lilly decided to go to UCLA, but that was before.. well you know" 

Collin looked at me and he had an apologetic look on his face.

"That's what we were meaning to talk to you about El"

"We?" Sam and I said at the exact same moment

I looked at him and he seemed as confused as I was, then by the look on his face he remembered.

"Dude, your her brother not me. Thank god."

I really didn't pay attention to his last part as i began to grow impatient

"SO, are any of you gonna tell me what's going on?"

"Ellie...Lilly's alive and we know where she is"
