I tried to shake the lances from my grip, I rolled on the ground to get rid of the wings, and I tried thinking of every way to change myself back, but nothing worked. Finally, after nearly ten minutes of trying to figure out what happened to me, I took a moment to look at myself. I once again tried to let go of the large spears, but it was like they were glued to my hands. I looked at the wings on my back and thought of them moving. With minimal effort, they fluttered a few times before keeping a steady beat, I smiled and scoffed in astonishment. Slowly, I began to lift into the air, getting higher and higher off the ground.
"Whoa, this is freaky." I breathed. With a small lean forward, I move straight ahead. I laughed out loud and did a full circle around the gigantic tree. It felt like hours as I tried every trick that I could do. I flew quickly into the air, stabbing my lances at the trunk of the tree. I did flips and twists, diving straight down and pulling back up, and I even moved my stinger between my legs to practice stabbing. "This is great!"
I flew high into the air and stopped my wings. In pure bliss, I free fell back down and before I hit the ground, I activated my wings again to slowly lower myself to the grass. I laughed in glee, out of breath from my experiment. A buzz from the giant tree made me look up and perched on a branch was the Yanma that took my bag and fanny pack. I grinned and pointed my lance at it.
"Hand over my things or you'll regret it!" I said. The Yanma beat it's wings and flew off of the branch, heading higher into the tree. "On no, you don't." I flew into the air and quickly went after the Yanma. With as much agility as possible, I dodged the branches and leaves of the tree, making sure to stay on the Yanma's path. We broke through the top of the tree and I soared after it. I glanced at the sliver moon above, illuminating the dark forest with its light, making the leaves shine silver. Instantly, I thought of my Pokemon. My TalonFlame, Blastoise, Doublade, Delphox and Lucario were all locked away in their pokeballs that were sitting inside the fanny pack. However, I knew my Pidgeot wasn't with them. She was hit in mid air just like I was and I wasn't sure what happened to her.
I hope you're okay, Pidgeot.
The Yanma made a few clicking sounds before lowering towards the ground. I used that moment as an advantage. As fast as possible, I dove for the Pokemon and pointed my lance in front of me. With great aim, I struck the Yanma in one of it's legs. It made a pained noise and tilted violently. It buzzed angrily and flew off into the night, possibly heading back to the huge tree. My bag and fanny pack slipped from its legs and plummeted to the forest. I dove down straight for them and just as they were about to hit the trees, I scooped them up using one of the lances.
"Yes!" I exclaimed in happiness and excitement. I hovered in the air and looked at my backpack and fanny pack, sighing happily now that they were back in my possession. I looked down at the forest, trying my best to look for a spot on the ground, but the darkness shrouded the area and the light from the moon wasn't enough to see.
Come on, I thought to myself as I glared at the treetops. Like a light switch, my vision suddenly went from dark to light. I blinked in amazement as the fine details of the forest below became visible.
"This is just amazing." I said softly, looking around at the trees. In an instant, I was able to spot a small field with a nearby cliff. I moved my wings faster and lowered myself to the grass. Stopping my wings, I sat on the ground heavily and sighed. I felt the exhaustion overcome my body and I had to shake my head to wake myself up.
"Alright," I looked from the lances in my hands to the fanny pack holding my Pokemon. "How am I going to do this?" I stared at the zipper on the pack, willing it to open as if I had hidden telekinetic powers. The zipper didn't budge and so I had to resort to the only plausible action left. I maneuvered myself to my knees and bent over. Grabbing the zipper with my teeth and holding the bag down with my wrist, I unzipped the pack and shook it, letting my pokeballs tumble out.
