"Subject 2967 is stable," Dr. H said. His white gloves squeaked as he scribbled on his clipboard. He raised his gaze and stared at the Pokemon he had captured in hunger. It was beautiful. The vivid blues and silver colors that outlined her belly flashed brightly under the florescent lights of the dimmed underground laboratory. Her white eyes flashed with anger as she slammed her dragon-like body against the thick glass of the container she was trapped in. She roared, causing the other scientists to cover their ears, but not Doctor H. He smiled in pure bliss at the sound of the majestic Pokemon struggling. "Inject her with the XC-095."

"Readying formula XC-095." One of the workers replied. Three men typed in a series of codes. "Injecting." A scientist pressed a button and suddenly, sharp needles were protruded into the glass tank, stabbing the Pokemon without mercy. She cried out in agony and Doctor H laughed as he watched a red substance carry through the needles and into her body. She wiggled and tried to get away from the sharp tips, but was unable to. After the injection was complete, the needles were pulled out and the Pokemon slumped to the floor in pure exhaustion. Doctor H sat his clipboard on a metal table and walked towards the tank. He kneeled and stared at the beautiful creature resting on the floor.

"What a marvelous beast," he said, placing his hand against the glass. "You're beautiful, Dea."

"You will all perish." Dea lifted her head and glared at the doctor. "You may have captured me, but I shall not stay trapped for long."

"It's so wonderful to hear your lovely voice," Doctor H licked his lips and leaned his forehead against the glass. "Tell me, what makes you think you will escape?"

"Deus will come to my rescue, as he has many times before." she sat up completely and roared loudly. "He will tear you limb from limb!"

"Deus," The doctor spat bitterly before smirking at Dea. "I'll make sure he'll stay away from you. You'll never see each other again."

"I will be reunited with him," she replied.

"Only in death," The doctor stood up and turned to his employees. "Inject her again."

"But sir," One of the scientists said. "We've already given her five doses today. Are you sure it's safe to give her more?" Doctor H turned to the man who addressed him. He walked towards him and instead of replying, he quickly pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it into the air. A bright light shot out of the ball and in front of the doctor appeared a Pokemon that resembled a sentient chandelier. The man gasped and took a small step away from the ghost Pokemon.

"Chandelure," Doctor H said with a horrifying calm smile. "Take his soul." The Pokemon replied and obeyed, floating towards the scientist. The man quickly backed away and then turned to run, but before he could make it to the exit, Chandelure stopped the man with Psychic. The man shouted and yelled, apologizing to the Doctor with massive fear, but it was no use. Chandelure turned the man to face itself and began to wave it's candles back and forth.

"No, please don't! I have a wife and a chi-" Suddenly, the man's body caught fire, but it wasn't burning his skin. His mouth was opened in a silent scream of pain and his eyes were rolled to the back of his head. The other employees gasped and back away as Chandelure slowly drained the man of his spirit. Once it finished, Chandelure released the man and let him drop to the floor...dead.

"Return, Chandelure." Doctor H held his Pokeball up and returned Chandelure. "Now, is there anyone else who would like to question my instructions?" No one spoke up. "Good. Now, someone come and take this man's body to the incinerator and give Dea another injection."

"Yes sir!" The scientists replied before getting to work. Doctor H straightened his tie, cleared his throat, and headed for the exit. Just as he was leaving the sound of Dea's agony reached his ears and sent a pleasurable shiver down his spine. He exited and walked down a hall, coming upon an elevator. With a quick scan of his card, he pressed the top floor button and waited patiently as the elevator moved up. In his pocket, his cell phone buzzed with a phone call. He pulled out the device and answered it.

"What?" he spoke.

"Sir, East team, reporting in." a female said on the other end of the phone.

"Go on,"

"Sir, we have news about the necklace."

"Is it good news?" Doctor H asked. A moment of silence passed between him and the person at the end of the call.

"There's a possibility that we may have found it's location." the woman replied carefully.

"So than where is it?" Doctor H yelled. The elevator stopped it's ascent and the doors open to a spacious office that had a large window opening up to the view of the ocean.

"It's inside of the Forest of Darkness, sir."

"Have you gone after it yet?" he asked, walking over to a glass table to fix himself a cup of tea.

"No sir," she replied. "The team thought it may have been too dangerous."

"Dangerous?" the doctor took a sip of his beverage. "You think a forest is dangerous? Are you scared of a leaf getting into that mangled hair of yours, Freya!"

"N-no sir, we just thought-"

"I don't pay you fools to think!" he shouted, slamming his cup against the edge of the table. It shattered upon impact, shards of glass flying everywhere. "Get there and find me that necklace! I've already taken a soul today and I don't mind doing it again!" he pressed the end button on the call, threw his phone on the floor, and screamed loudly in frustration.

"Those damn fools," he muttered after calming from his anger. "They don't understand. They don't understand anything. Once I get my hands on that necklace, I can create a whole new species of Pokemon."

He smiled at the thought and walked over to his desk, pressing a button under it. Immediately, a secret compartment opened up behind his bookshelf. He walked inside, letting the secret door close on its own. In the center of the tiny room, inside of a tank filled with water and hooked up to tubes, was a boy with pitch black hair, curled up into a ball, sound asleep. The boy was naked and covered in silver scales from the back of his neck to the back of his legs. His pale body floated in the center of the tank, bubbles flowing up from his nose with each breath he took.

Doctor H watched the boy silently before tapping the glass lightly. On the third tap, the boy uncurled himself slowly, unfurling his long, silver and blue tail and perking his elegant, wing like ears. He slowly open his white eyes and stared at Doctor H with an emotionless expression.

"Hello, Subject 6730," the doctor said with a smile. "Did you have a nice nap?" the boy only stared at him in reply. The doctor chuckled and placed his hands against the glass. The boy floated towards the doctor. "I have a surprise for you since your birthday is soon to be." the boys' ears swiveled forward in interest. "How would you like to go outside?"

At this, Subject 6730's eyes widened and he did a series of tricks and flips in the tank. "Wonderful, but while you're out there, I need you to do everything I say and to retrieve something for me, is that clear?" the boy nodded and Doctor H smiled. "Good boy."
