A few hours later at Diagon Alley, we all went to Platform 9 3/4. Ron and I sat in the same room, Room G. Hermione was also there, she was just in the bathroom. I stared out the window. I couldn't help but to smile for some reason. "I saw you two..."
I heard Ron's voice. I turned to him and stopped smiling, "Excuse me?"
"You and Hermione...sneaking off..."
"Where were we then?"
"In a dark corner where no one else would go."
"What did we do then?"
"Kiss..."
"..."
We fell silent. Then out of nowhere I felt the feeling of a gentle push. I woke up it was just a dream, I thought. Hermione was looking at me. "We're here, Harry."
I sat up and we walked out. "I'll meet you at the Great Hall!"
Hermione called out running to the prefects' carriage. The thestrals pulled it away, I watched it go away. Hermione was staring at me and Ron was talking to her. She nodded her head pretending that she knew what was going on. I waved a bit and she rose her hand a few inches like a small wave. I went into a carriage behind. Luna, Ginny, and Neville were sitting there with me. "Is there something with you and Hermione...?"
Luna asked dreamily. I looked at her and shook my head slightly, "N-no."
"Are you sure? You seem to always be smiling at her."
Neville nodded and said, "Yes, it is not normal for you to smile...no offense."
"None taken. But seriously, we are best friends."
Ginny then looked at me frustrated, "Harry! It's okay to tell us! If you honestly are dating Hermione we won't tell Ron! Right guys?"
Neville and Luna nodded. I looked around to make sure no one could hear us. "Fine...yes...I am dating Hermione...we've kinda have been doing this for one day because it just happened. Please, please, please do NOT tell Ron."
Luna smiled and Neville gasped. Ginny looked at me, rolling her eyes at Luna and Neville, "We won't. We promise."
"Thank you."
Then, we started to talk about things as the dark trees surrounded us like a crowd. I always thought Ginny was for me. Now I think I had it all wrong.
"Remember when I dumped Micheal?"
Ginny said laughing at the end. Neville nodded, "Yep. You punched him in the face and left without saying 'bye'"
Everyone started to laugh again. Luna was reading The Quibbler, a company made by her father. The company shot up once they wrote about Voldemort coming back. Luna put down her book and then told us a funny story before we arrived at Hogwarts. I hopped off of our carriage and ran into the Great Hall. I suddenly bumped into Professor Snape. "Why in a rush Mr. Potter?"
"Nothing."
I went around him and looked back at Professor Snape. He stared at me with unfathomed eyes. I continued to run to the Great Hall and immediately saw Hermione. She was talking to Ron. I sat down beside her. "Hi Harry."
Ron said. He looked at the other girls, Lavender Brown and Parvati. They were giggling. I saw Lavender whisper something into Parvati's ear and they giggled. I looked over a Ginny, she was holding hands with Dean Thomas. She was giggling and obviously was flirting. I gagged a bit and looked at Hermione. We smiled and held hands underneath the table. We saw Dumbledore go to his golden pedestal. "Hello everyone! Welcome back newcomers! And welcome back 2-6th years! As you can see, there is a new Professor here. He's an old friend of mine. His name is Professor Slughorn!"
Everyone clapped. Professor Slughorn stood up then sat down. "He will be the new potions teacher..." Professor Dumbledore continued, "Professor Snape will be the new Dark Arts teacher."
Ron looked at Harry,"Can I talk to you alone, Harry?"
Harry looked at Ron, "Sure."
