          I have heard that there was going to be practice against the Slytherins so I decided to go. I had front seat beside Luna who was wearing a lion hat for the occasion. She looked at me and waved. I smiled and waved back. Then, Jordan Lee, the point keeper, announced the teams that were coming.
"Here we have the Gryffindors!!"
Harry came out first and he waved to everyone even though his eyes were focused on me. Ginny was glaring straight at me until she mounted on top of her broom.
"Then, we have Slytherins!"
Draco wasn't, surprisingly, there. There was a new captain and other people that I didn't know. I saw Madam Hooch tell the captains to shake their hands. They all kicked up and Madam Hooch blew her whistle. My eyes immediately found the snitch Harry took a while but soon he found it. I saw Lavender in front of me. She stared at Ron and she whispered, "Yes...yes..."
She there her fists in the air. I smiled when I saw Harry catch it and everyone was screaming happily.
          A few minutes later there was a party in the Gryffindor common room. Ron was standing higher then everyone and everyone was repeating his name. "Ron! Ron! Ron!"
They continued. Then, Lavender stepped up to Ron and she was shorter though, but she wrapped her arms around his neck and snogged (French kiss and snuggling). I stared and then walked away. I sat on a swiveling step and started to cry. Then, Crookshanks came crawling to me being followed by Harry. I wiped my tears. He sat down beside me. "Are you okay Hermione?"
I nodded sniffing and continued to wipe my tears that continued to flow down my cheeks. There were little yellow birds flying around. "Just practicing..."
I lied. I looked at Harry, who was staring at me. His face moved closer and closer. I moved in as well. Then, our lips touched. He was holding my hands and my tears now slowed down and it fell onto my hands. Then, we heard running footstep sounds. We pulled apart and saw Ron with Lavender pulling him, "Oops...looks like this spot is taken..."
She giggled and ran away leaving Ron who was going to follow her, "What are you two doing?"
"Why do you want to know?"
Harry snapped. I stood up, "Oppungo."
After I said the jinx the yellow bird darted to Ron, but he dodged it. He stared at me with a scared expression and ran to find Lavender. I sat down and continued to cry. Harry put his arm around me and whispered, "It's okay...I'm here..."
          After Christmas break I saw Harry and ran to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. No one was paying attention, so I kissed him quickly. I let go and didn't bother to look at Ron. We headed straight to library. Of course though, Ron sat near Lavender. I didn't want to be near Ron so Harry and I eat at the library. "He has a free liberty to kiss whomever he likes. I really couldn't care less," I said as I put my borrowed books away. Harry and I then stood by a desk and talked.
"Hermione, I was thinking...maybe we can go to Slughorn's party together?"
"Oh Harry, I'd love to but I...uh...am going with someone else...sorry."
"Who?"
"Uh...it's a surprise."
Harry shrugged and he told me he would just take Luna Lovegood. As friends.
