"Ah, Heimdall. How are things?" Thor walked up to the man with the gleaming eyes and they locked grips on each others arms.
"Things are fair. Your father wishes to speak with you and your guests," Heimdall's voice was deep. It rang in Electra's mind in a familiar way. Her eyebrows furrowed and she stared into his golden eyes wondering where she knew him from.
Heimdall began walking to the other side of the long rainbow bridge and Pietro grabbed her arm and followed behind the man. The two who were unfamiliar with the land looked around in awe. The city before them was ginormous. Everything as far as the eye could see was golden. Each step Electra took felt like a weight being lifted off of her shoulders. She felt at peace, well as close as she could get to peace.
In the center of the golden city, a palace. Built tall to reach the stars and wide to hug the land. Pietro grabbed Electra's hand as he noticed she had stopped to stare. She looked at him briefly, then continued walking with him. With their steps synced, and fingers intertwined, the group made their way up the stair of the palace.
When they arrived at the large door, guards pulled them open. A large burst of air blew and Electra sucked the oxygen into her lungs. A familiar scent lingered in the draft, yet she could not place it. This time it was Electra who had to pull Pietro into the large doors.
The interior of the palace was grand. A marble floor so clean it looked as if it was glass. Detailed gold patterns leading to another set of golden stairs. And in the middle of the room was a large throne. Sitting on the throne was a older man, long grey hair, and a strong chin. He watched the group come to a halt, as Thor and Hiemdall bowed their heads to him. Electra bowed too,but hand to smack Pietro over the head to get him to bow.
The older man stood, and took a brisk step forward. "Rise. My son, who is it that you have brought onto my planet?" The mans voice was deep and demanding, the golden staff in his hand glittered as he walked slowly towards the group at the bottom of his throne.
Electra looked from Thor, to the older man. So that's barbie's dad, huh? Electra laughed silently under her breath but quickly stopped when the King looked her way with a skeptical eye.
"Father, I bring with me Electra and our companion Pietro." Thor gestured to the two who stood out like sore thumbs in the futuristic room. "Electra, is Asgardian,"
"Impossible." The older man interrupted. "I have blessed every Asgardian alive within their first hours of life. Her, I have never seen."
"She has been on Earth many decades. We believe her mother is Nerthus..." Thor looked to his father with determination. His father's eye opened a little bit more and he turned swiftly towards the blue haired girl.
"What is your name child?"He walked towards Electra with his staff pointed slightly at her.
"Electr-"
"No! Your true name. The name your mother gave you at birth!"
"Adrianna Rabinovich."
The older man lowered his staff and turned around, pacing slowly back and forth.
"Why have you come, Adrianna?"
"To find my mother. I possess powers I don't even begin to know-"
"Well I cannot help you."
"What?"
"I cannot help you." Odin turned back towards his throne and started walking back to sit down.
"Please your highness- your magesty- whatever! I need your help. You are my only hope in locating my mother!"
"Enough!" Odin sat on his golden throne and rubbed his chin. "We will no longer speak of this tonight. Hiemdall you are dismissed." He waved his hand towards some servants and they bowed politely to them. "Set up rooms for our guests. Make sure they are bathed and ready for dinner."
The servants bowed once again, and lightly took Electra and Pietro by the arms. Thor looked at Electra and mouthed an apology. She only nodded with an annoyed look on her face.
What is gonna happen now?! I'm finding my mother with or without help.
