Jerome's POV

Mitch and I had been hanging out for about a week now. I really liked him. And not just because he was my soulmate. I did notice that something was bothering him, though. I decided to ask him about it.

"Mitch?" I asked.

He looked over at me. "Yeah, Jerome?"

"What's bothering you?"

He looked up at the ceiling. "Matt."

We were at Mitch's house. I was over there so much now, that I asked if I could move here. Mitch said he would have to ask Matt. He hadn't asked him yet, though.

"What about Matt?" I asked.

Mitch shrugged his shoulders. "l don't know. He just doesn't seem like himself anymore."

"So you don't know what's happening with him?" I asked.

Mitch shook his head. "No. I wish I did. He's my friend. I should know what's wrong, but I don't."

"Do you want to know?"

Mitch and I turned around to see Matt in the doorway. I could tell that he was crying before. His eyes were red, (he's not a vampire I promise) and puffy.

Mitch stood up. "Yes. More than anything."

Matt smiled a little bit. "Ok, then I'll tell you."

I started to stand up, but Matt stopped me. "I can only tell Mitch. Only he will understand."

I was about to say something, but then Mitch stopped me. "Jerome, please. I need to know. Please. For me."

I thought for a second, but then nodded my head. I sat back down. "Ok, but don't take too long."

They walked out of the room, and I just sat there, waiting for Mitch to come back. What did Matt have to tell him?

After about 10 minutes, Mitch came back. I couldn't see Matt there. Mitch just slowly sat down, and didn't say anything.

"Mitch are you ok?" I asked.

Mitch looked at me, and it looked like he was about to cry.

"Mitch, what's wrong?" I asked, concerned.

He started crying, and I hugged him, he hugged back. I just let him cry, and didn't question him anymore.

Finally, he pulled away. He looked at me with sad eyes. "I'm so stupid, Jerome."

"You're not stupid, Mitch. What happened?" I asked.

He shook his head. "How did I not notice? I'm such an idiot."

"Mitch, stop putting yourself down. What. Happened." I said. I was starting to get angry. What did Matt do?

Mitch smiled sadly. "Everything happened. Everything changed."

Mitch's POV

~~~Rewind to when Matt needed to talk to him~~~

I followed Matt, he brought me to the patio.

I looked at him, confused. "Why are we out here?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't want Jerome to hear."
