I sat (well, not really, but you get the point) there like I was paralyzed or something. Then I screamed. Everybody flew into the room. They stared at me with extreme shock.
"SOMEBODY HELP ME!" I shouted. My mom stood on my bed and gently brought me down. When she set me down, I looked at Angel. I gave her a short death stare before tackling her. "YOU DID THIS DIDN'T YOU!?" I shouted into her ear.
"No no I swear! I swear!" she cried out.
"Then WHY WAS I ON THE CEILING?!" I scorched.
"I DON'T KNOW!" she yelled back. I paused then threw her onto her feet.
"Ok, I demand a family meeting." I said without question. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I sat down and everyone else began to fill the table. "So, how was I on the ceiling?" I asked everyone.
"Were you glued?" asked Hayli.
"Nope." I responded.
"Karma?" Angel suggested with a sneer.
"Mr. toilet was glad you took a visit, and he would enjoy another one." I retorted dryly.
"Stop that, we need to figure out why you were on the ceiling." my mom pointed out.
"Well, trace your steps from yesterday to when you woke up on the ceiling." Dan announced.
"Ok, so I wrestled with Panther in the dirt..." I began to trace my steps out loud with some interruptions.
Angel: Thats normal.
Me: Yeah, then I pushed you in the toilet. Then I went to the store.
Katie: It's not the store, we go there all the time.
Me: (lightbulb)"It wasn't the store that made me go on the ceiling, it was what was in it!"
I exclaimed."But that is the store itself." Katie replied.
"No, the shampoo! I blame mom!" I exclaimed again happily as I pointed at her. She rolled her eyes.
"Ok, then lets throw the shampoo out." She muttered. I nodded and went to go get it, but in the hallway, I just slowly floated to the ceiling. I looked at the floor. My mom was right under me.
"Um, I don't wanna throw it out anymore..." I said awkwardly. Then I tried to gain control by floating down. It worked! And it was very easy to control. "Oh my gosh! This is amazing!" I did some twirls and spins and floated around the house.
"Cool! I need to use that shampoo!" Katie told me as she made me do a little flip.
"Yeah, me too!" said Dan as he spun me around.
"I as well!" squealed Angel as she ran outside with me and threw me into the air.
"Guys, stop, i'm not a freaking toy!" I told them as I floated back into the house.
"But I need the shampoo!" said Hayli as she threw me up into a tree.
"No! It's mine! I bought it!" I snorted.
"With my money!" exclaimed my mom. "Were throwing it out!"
All the kids stared at her, and in sync, we all screamed "NO."
"And none of you are using it!" I yelled. I flew onto the roof and lay there in the nice, hot sun. Then my dad drove into the driveway. I flew down do his window and waved. He stared at me in awe. He quickly got out of his car and looked at me.
"Katie, pinch me." he told my mom. She walked over and pinched him. As she did his eyes were closed. When she let go he opened them. "How is my daughter floating...?" he asked quietly.
"Shampoo." I told him. Then I had an idea. "Who wants to go for a ride?" I asked everyone. Angel ran up. I plopped her onto my back. I flew up a little. "It works!" I twirled he off my back. I picked up Katie and flew down the street and back. I set her down. "I wanna see how fast fast I can go!" then I dashed off to the store and back. I wasn't too terribly fast, sadly. I flew back and landed gently on the porch.
"Throw it out." I looked at my mom with begging eyes as she said this.
"But mom, this is the first time i'll ever actually clean myself." I said convincingly.
"Fine." she sighed.
"Yays!" I exclaimed as I flew up and high into the air. I quickly flew back down.
"You have to share, though." My mom groaned.
"No! It's mine!" I yelled greedily. I flew inside and grabbed my money then flew right to the store. I walked in normally. I grabbed every bottle in stock and slammed them on the counter. "20 bottles of this shampoo, please."
"I'm sorry, but if I sell you anymore of this, I can get, like, fired and stuff, so I kinda can't kid." he told me. I floated into the air. He stared in awe.
"Let's just say this isn't my only power, and that other one isn't very pleasant." I lied. I gave him my money and he threw them all in bags. I got the bags and flew back home. I flew inside and stored them all in my secret stash. I went outside and flew into the air. I saw how fast, so now i'm doing how high. And I knew that high would be high. I flew up to a plane. I flew by a window and knocked on it. A woman looked and froze. I waved to her. She screamed. I flew onto the top of the plane. I stood up and got blown back. I was falling as a great speed. I was falling face down. A man carrying groceries saw me and dropped his items. He then tried to aim to catch me. But before I hit the ground, I flew into a curve and flew back into the air safely. I gently landed on the ground. He looked at me with total shock. I realized he was holding a camera. And then I realized he was taping me. And then I realized I should probably leave before he gets a good shot of my face. I ran as fast as I could, darting blindly over by a store. I paneed and looked around. I recognized where I was, I was in the city. That's just what we call it, at least. I've never been in this store. I looked up and the sign read "Pam's Palace" and I had no idea what the sold. I looked into the window and saw an older woman walk away from the cash register disappointed. She headed for the door and stepped out. Then, she noticed me and approached.
"Excuse me, but have you seen this little girl? She is all grown up now, but I can't find any pictures of her older self." she held up a picture of... my mom.
"Yes, thats my mom as a kid..." I told her suspiciously.
"Oh goodness, really? Please, show me to her. I miss her so dearly." She pleaded. I glared at her. I wasn't sure if I could trust her... then again, she had a photo of her...whatever, I can't take her anyway. The city is only good when your driving. Then, I got an idea.
"Alright. Follow me." I walked to the edge of the curb and tried hailing a taxi. Eventually, one came and we hopped inside.
"M-mom...?" she said.
"Katie! Oh Katie, I-" the old woman started.
"I HATE YOU!" my mom grabbed me and pulled me inside. She slammed the door shut and locked it. She stormed into her room. Mum (the one who came in the driveway is mum, mom is Katie adult) went in with her. This, was a puzzle. But the day went by and some tears fell but we all got sleep and rested well.
