It was getting later and later and you grew more worried. He promised you, but it seemed that with every promise he made, your trust weakened a bit more. Thoughts started to flow in and out of your aching brain. You didn't have much time left with him, or anyone for that matter and you were starting to believe that no one even cared.
You held your hand high up in the air, signalling for the waiter to come over and give you your bill. You asked for it quietly, forcing a smile to appear on your face. She nodded and walked away. Heartbroken, you ignored the thoughts and searched through your contacts for his name. "Hobi". Once you saw it, you immediately clicked the "call" button without any thought.
As it rang for the fifth time, you were starting to give up on him, on everything. Maybe it was time to let him go. You pulled out the money you needed to pay and placed it over your bill, collected your things, and left quickly. As you put the keys in ignition you started bawling. You let it all out, you felt that it was time to do so. It was hard for you to see the road correctly because of the blur the tears were causing.
Finally reaching home, safely, you pounded your fists on the wheel. Cursing out into the emptiness of your car, of the neighborhood, and what you felt the entire world. "Why can't he love me as much as I love him? I try so hard! All I get is this shit treatment!" You gasp and bring your shaky hands over your mouth, you couldn't believe that you just said a cuss word. You couldn't even remember the last time you had said one. Since you already broke your vow to stay away from that foul language, you started to curse after every word you said.
You finally calmed down after about an hour. You hesitantly picked up your phone, turning it face up. A message from Hoseok! Your heart told you to smile, but your mind ordered you to stay angry.
"Hey, we need to talk," You read out loud. Agreeing with the message, you grabbed your belongings and walked into the elevator.
As you opened the door, you shouted at the top of your lungs, forgetting that anyone else in the world existed but you two.
"Hoseok, do you not realize what day it is? Do you not know how many years today marks between us? 5 fucking years Hoseok! Do you even care that it's our anniversary. I'm not even supposed to live for much longer! Did you ever think about that," You quiet your voice as you finally unscrunch your face and open your eyes. Pain rang about through your entire head and you winced in pain. You knew you needed to calm down, but your blood was just boiling at this point. You were done with letting all of the pain he caused you go, you needed to talk about it before moving on. You were unsure of what your future was going to be with him. Thinking of this only caused more pain in your heart.
You looked down to Hoseok, on one knee. The little blue ring case was opened and revealed was a beautiful ring. It wasn't too showy, and you liked that. You felt your cheeks grow red, and tears streamed down your face.
He stood up to hug you, and you let him embrace you. You felt stupid, maybe you didn't deserve him. He was at home, worrying about what to say and what to do. You were so embarrassed to even look up into his eyes.
"Yes, Soo Hyun, 5 years that I've loved you, 5 years that I tried my best to impress you, but I've clearly failed," He said quietly and calmly. You wanted to say something, but your breath was shaking and you were still sobbing.
"Hoseok...I'm so sorry that I yelled at you, I'm sorry," You continued to apologize until he planted his lips onto yours. He kissed you passionately, and when he pulled away, he left you wanting more. You guys needed to talk, not do what you were thinking. You pushed the dirty thoughts out of your mind and wiped your tears away. He kissed your forehead and whispered something quietly into your ear.
