"Jagiya!!" I shouted from inside the shower. I was running late for work and I just hopped in the shower. I forgot that it was our little boy's first day of school. "Hyungwon!" I shouted again for the third time. After not recieving an answer, I figured Hyungwon either was making breakfast, or still sound asleep. My day just couldn't get worse.
I rushed out of the bathroom still soaking wet. I needed to change in order to make it to work on time. I ran down the hall and into our bedroom. Surprise surpise, I ran right into a half-naked Hyungwon.
I grasped my towel and tightened it around myself. "Hyungwon, is TaeGu up yet?
He looked over to me like he had no idea we ever even had a kid. I slapped him hard on the chest, and asked again. I forgot that I was still in my towel, and Hyungwon was still in his boxers just standing in front of me.
"Yeah, I woke him up and gave him some breakfast, I just came in here to change real quick," he quietly responded. I felt bad for hurting him, so I sort of hugged him then ran to our closet to get changed.
He finished changing and walked out to the kitchen in order to finish helping TaeGu get ready for his first day in Kindergarten. I was super excited for him, but since I was already running late for work, I couldn't drop him off with Hyungwon.
I grabbed my car keys and turned around to see a well dressed Hyungwon and my handsome son. TaeGu looked so much like Hyungwon, it looked like I was staring at a baby photo of him. I smiled. I'm so thankful for my family, I thought to myself. I kissed Hyungwon and then lowered myself to TaeGu's height so I could look him in the eyes.
"TaeGu, I'm so sorry I can't be with you today...I'll take you out to eat after school okay!" I gave him a hug and then waved goodbye one last time to the both of them.
I asked for half the day off in order to take my family out to eat. I think it was a well deserved half a day off too. I work my butt off so much, I'm surprised im not dead yet.
At 3 p.m. it was time to pick up TaeGu. Hyungwon tried to convince me that it would be okay if he just picked up our son by himself after practice with Monsta X. But I insisted that I needed to be with TaeGu and we needed to celebrate this special day as a family. Hyungwon sent me pictures of TaeGu entering his classroom and I couldn't be a happier parent.
I decided to pick up TaeGu first before picking up Hyungwon from his company. They're working really hard on their comeback this month. They already released their teaser photos and I even got printed out photos of Hyungwon. His fans weren't too accepting of me in the beginning, they thought that I wasn't good enough for him. But after a while, most of his fans started to accept me, as well as Monsta X themselves.
"TaeGu!" I shouted in delight, "How was school?" He smiled and told me all about his day on our way to Hyungwon's company. He looked so adorable in his car seat talking about all the new friends he already managed to make.
I picked him up out of his carseat and held his hand as we walked into the big building.
"Hyungwonnie~" I said quietly in unison with TaeGu as we walked into their practice room. Monsta X were practicing their choreo for their title track song. I smiled when Hyungwon walked up towards us after finishing the ending move of the song.
"Aigoo, how was your day?" He asked TaeGu, picking him up and hugging him. I let Hyungwon have his time with our son and greeted everyone else. After everyone chatted with each other for a bit, and explained a few things to Hyungwon for their comeback, we were able to leave.
"Would you like to go home and shower first before dinner?" I asked Hyungwon, he shook his head and told me that he wanted to eat as soon as possible. I giggled and drove right to the Italian restaurant at TaeGu's request.
We had a wonderful meal and talked quite a bit. We talked about important things like our future and how I got promoted at my job. We also discussed how busy Hyungwon will be with his comeback, TaeGu and I were completely understanding of course. But, I still had a surprise to tell both of my boys.
We were in the parking lot when I stopped the two of them.
"I know it isn't anything special and I know I didn't do anything to make it special, but, well..." I paused and picked up TaeGu and held Hyungwon's hand, leading them to the car.
"I'm pregnant!" I said loudly. Hyungwon jumped in delight, he was so adorable. And TaeGu was so excited that he was gonna be a big brother. He was always begging me and everything, I'm just glad I could finally fulfill his wish.
On our way home Hyungwon kept insisting that he should not participate in this next comeback. I didn't want him taking time off, I'm not even that far into my pregnancy. He finally gave up and just showered me with compliments the entire way home.
Laying down in my bed, I looked over at Hyungwon who was already facing me. I was so happy that I had someone as special as him. And now I have another adition to the family. I just know that TaeGu will be a wonderful older brother. I'm so happy.
