The Choice ( A Teen Wolf Fanfiction)

Chapter 3

         It's 3:45 and last period just ended. I'm so glad school's over and I can't wait to go home and relax. As I'm heading out the door I see Scott and he grabs my arm and says, "You're still coming to meet me at the Cliff at 4:15 right?" Oh shit I forgot about that. I guess my plans after school will change. Ughhhhh!!!  "Of course I didn't forget," I lie, "I'll see you there." Scott's face makes an adorable little smile and waves to me as he rushes out the door where Stiles is standing. I wonder why they ran out of the school so fast. I mean everyone hates school but I wouldn't go all out a rush out as if I was escaping prison.

         I put away all of my books into my locker and head out the door where I see the girl's outside talking. "Hey we're gonna go for a coffee run before we head to my house you wanna come?" asks Lydia. "I really wish I could go but I'm meeting Scott at the cliff at in about 15 minutes," I say. Kiera responds, "Ooh the Cliff huh? What are you guys gonna do there huh?" Oh great now this got all the girl's attention and even Liam's best friend, Mason. "I'm not sure. He just wants to talk with me privately I guess," I say trying not to sound embarrassed. "Well you said you had an extra 15 minutes so why don't you come with us and when you get your drink you can leave?" suggested Malia. "Great idea Malia then after your little talk with Scott you can come over to Lydia's!" Kiera said. Well I mean I had some time to spare so why not. "Okay fine but once I get my drink I have to go," I say.  Liam and Mason jump to the conversation, "Can we tag along with you guys?" All of us look at each other and Lydia speaks out, "Fine but your not coming to my house." We all walk to the parking lot and get into our cars. Lydia, Kiera, and Malia drove in Malia's car while Liam and Mason rode in mine.  Liam takes control of the radio and blasted rock music to the point that I couldn't hear Mason trying to tell me something. I eventually lower the volume and switch it to a station that all of us can enjoy. We sang along to "Hotline bling" by Drake and to "Stitches" from Shawn Mendes. We arrive at Starbucks where the girls are already in line saving a spot for us. It's finally my turn to order and I buy my usual:  a tall white chocolate mocha with a birthday cake cake pop.  We all talk and wait for our drinks together. As soon as my drink was ready I poured some half and half milk, said goodbye to my friends, and drove away from the parking lot to The Cliff to meet Scott. 

      It's 4:00 and it's heavy traffic. There was an accident up ahead which is delaying me. I know I'm not gonna make it on time. I grab my phone and text Scott, "Might be late. Stuck in traffic." A thought comes into my head about why he wanted to meet me at The Cliff. Does he wanna just talk or is there something else I don't know about?

     About 20 minutes later, I eventually get myself out of traffic. I'm heading close to the Cliff so I texted Scott, "About 5 minutes away. See ya there." Finally I reach The Cliff and park my car. As I step out I took a quick glance to the left and see Stile's jeep. "So I guess Scott and I won't be alone," I say in my head. I walk past the trees and see two rows of rose petals creating a pathway for me. I was led to a little picnic blanket at the spot where Scott and I had our first kiss together. There were two plates with a cute heart shaped sandwich on top, chocolate covered strawberries, and 3 lit candles. I'm astonished and turned around to see Scott behind me holding a bouquet of my favorite flowers, pink roses. I'm blushing so hard that I'm pretty sure that my whole face turned red. A few tears of happiness tear down my cheek. 

     "What do you think?" Scott replies. "I absolutely love it. Thank you so much Scott. But why did you do this for me?" I ask. Scott sighs and smiles, "Melanie I did this because I love you. I'm not sure what happened between us before the summer but whatever I did I just want to say that I'm sorry. I wasn't sure how to say this to you or where so I decided to do it here where it all started." My heart started beating so fast that I felt like it was gonna explode. "Oh Scott!!!" I exclaim and hug him. Scott and I stop hugging and take a moment. We both stare at each other with passion and then he leans in for a kiss.

     He guides me to the picnic and we sit down and munch on our sandwiches. We talked, laughed, and cuddled together. I think I haven't been any happier with Scott. And things were about to get better. Out of nowhere Stiles runs up to us with a little radio.  I look at Scott, "Hey Stiles!"  I say trying to put a smile and an attitude on my face. Great way to ruin the moment buddy I say to myself. I watch him insert a disc into the radio and press play. Immediately as the song begins to play I realize its "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri, Scott and I's song. I look at Scott and smile and say, "Its our song." "I know. May I have this dance madam?" he asks and chuckles. I curtsy and laugh, "Of course you may."

   Scott grabs my hand lifting me up from the ground and guides me near the end of the cliff. I wrap my arms around his neck and he puts his hands on my waist. We sway back and forth enjoying the moment with each other. It was as if time had paused for us to have a wonderful moment together. Scott really did surprise me and he did really change. My question is why? I forget that thought and just enjoyed the moment I had with me. I lean into his shoulder and he rests his head on my shoulder. 

   "Thank you for today Scott. I truly am grateful for what you did," I say. Scott looks at me and says, "Melanie you know I would do anything for you. You know why? It's because I love you. I'm in love with you and I would never let you go." I blush so hard once more and tears trek down my cheek. "I love you too Scott!" I say holding his cheek and leaned in for a kiss. "Oh before I forget, I have something for you," Scott says. I watch him pull out a little black box from his back pocket as he bends down on one knee. " Oh Scott you know I love you but I'm not ready to get married yet!" I say freaked out. "Oh no no no I'm not proposing to you calm down," he chuckles and opens the box. Inside the little box was a box shaped necklace in tiny letters saying Scott  on it. "Oh my gosh it's beautiful!" I exclaim. He removes the necklace from the box and turns me around for me to wear the necklace. I lift my hair as he has a hard time trying to put it on me. " This is a promise necklace so that we would never stay distant from each other ever again. I have something matching to go with that, ' Scott says. He shows me his ring finger with a silver ring and engraved saying Melanie. "I love it. Thank you so much Scott. I promise to keep this promise," I say realizing that what I said didn't sound right. We both laugh and end up kissing each other passionately. What a great way to end the day.

Sorry for not updating in a month.  I was so occupied with school and stuff and I barely had the chance to write this. I hope you like it and I'm going to now on write short little memos in the end of each chapter.
