Vanessa's POV
I had woken up around 9 a.m. in the morning and had gone to the mall around 11 a.m. with my mom to find the perfect outfit for the party, let's face the fact that I didn't want to look bad for a guy I knew little of's party.
I had bought a denim outfit which was pretty. After almost an hour of choosing and rejecting, I finally found what I was looking for and left the store with my mom who looked exhausted.
"Mom are you okay?" My mom was focused on the road.
"I'm okay just tired." She said with a yawn.
We had gotten home about fifteen minutes later, Shawn had taken a nap. I had realized that I hadn't taken breakfast and well I had spent the whole time in the mall without eating anything.
I had microwaved a frozen meatloaf and ate it, it was rather satisfying, then I decided to watch a movie.
After the meal and two hours of watching a movie, I was tired and took a nap.

Hours had passed before I finally woke up, I woke up around 8 p.m., I took the outfit I'd chosen this morning, I curled my brown hair with a curling iron, I looked at myself in the mirror and was satisfied with my look, I took a few selfies before I walked to the party.
I got to the party around 9:15p.m, I was only 15 minutes late. I got to the area where cars were parked then I saw a front door in front of the house which was blasting music, I entered the house and saw people dancing and getting drunk.
Yeah those were the first things I saw in a typical teenager's party. I saw Stacey getting some red punch at the food and drinks table, I went towards her then I see a familiar blonde haired boy,he took Stacey's hand and kissed her.
I was in front of Stacey and the guy with blonde hair was Dominic Raymond, yes apparently he was Tiffany's brother but they were nothing alike, Dominic was just a normal cool guy who I had just seen press his lips against Stacey's.
I uttered three words that I thought I was saying in my mind.
"What the fuck." I said in an irritated tone
Stacey managed to do something fast, she pushed Dominic away and started talking. "He's drunk Vans." She said this not looking at me in the eye.
"Say the truth." I say this with a look of disappointment.
"Ok, ok Dominic and I have been dating for three weeks." Stacey looked at me this time to see my expression, I was angry.
"O MY SHIT you have been dating Dominic and you didn't tell me!" Stacey was about to say something thing but I didn't let her talk."We are best friends for crying out loud, aren't we meant to tell each other everything!" I paused for a dramatic effect. "Please why am l wasting my breath, if you want to date Dominic you can go ahead it's not my problem."
I stormed past her and went to the kitchen where it was empty and quiet then I started crying, maybe I was a little jealous that Stacey got a boyfriend before me, at least a real boyfriend that won't break your heart or that I was upset that we were not as close as we use to be, I felt like we were drifting apart.
Michael walked inside the kitchen and noticed me crying, I immediately wipe my tears.
"Hi."
"Hey." I replied.
"Are you okay, you seem rather sad love." He asked with concern. Oh God I love his accent. I thought. I didn't say anything for a while, then I talked.
"It's nothing really, it's dumb." Michael looked at me with a smirk.
"If it's nothing why aren't you dancing on the dancing floor." I looked at Michael and he was right if it wasn't that much big of a deal why was I not having fun or getting drunk.
"Yeah I guess you're right." Michael extended his right hand in attempt to take my hand and escort me to the dance floor as he said five words.
"May I have this dance." My cheeks turned bright pink because of the way he approached me.
"Sure." I said not too desperate. It was a slow song, we danced with his hands around my waist and my hands around his neck. I had forgotten about what happened between Stacey and I, the only thing in my mind was how relaxed I was while dancing with Michael.
"You're a great dancer." I said
"You're not too bad yourself."
■■■■■■
After all the dancing, drinking and fun it was time for me to go home, it was forty-five minutes pasted eleven and it was getting darker outside every minute, I just had to go home.
Michael noticed me leaving and asked where I was going.
"I have to go home, it's late." I said fast because I didn't want to waste any more time in the party.
"I'll give you a ride." He replied.
"Welllll, okay." We got to his blue painted car, there was an awkward silence for a while before Michael finally spoke.
"So where do you live?"
"Um I live at 20 RosaVille street."
Silence filled the air until we got to my house. Michael seemed a little tired.
"I guess I'll see in school on Monday." He said with a smirk
"Yeah." I said as he was about to leave, I waved and mouthed bye.
I entered my house quietly as I tiptoed upstairs before I heard a voice from behind me
"Where are you coming back from at this time." Apparently it was my mom, I turned to face her but I couldn't look at her in the eye.
"It was just a party mom."
"Who was in that car that brought you home". I hated when my mom was being overprotective.
"It was just that new guy I was talking about the other day."
"Oh that british boy."
"Yeah."
"What's his name."
"Michael-" I grinned at the thought of his name. "Michael Stewart."
