Vanessa's POV

"Surprise!" My family screamed as I opened my eyes to see my mom, dad and Shawn in my room, my mom was holding a cupcake with a candle and my dad was with a camera while Shawn was just smiling at me. I closed my eyes cause I was too tired.

As I opened my eyes the second time I saw a flash which came from the camera my dad was holding, apparently my dad took a picture of me.

"Happy birthday honey," My mom said. "How was your night?.

"It was okay." I said with a weak smile.

It was a Tuesday and I didn't want to be late for school, I got off my bed and went to the bathroom, took a shower and brushed my teeth, I got out of the shower and I chose the clothes I wanted to wear, I wore a flower printed dress with purple flat shoes.

When I got outside to wait for my mom to take me to school guess what I saw, I saw a brand new car and a ribbon tied on it which wrote happy birthday honey, remember when I said my parents weren't giving me a car until I'm 18, guess what I'm 18 now wooooh.

I went inside to look for my mom and dad.

"Mom, dad!" I shouted their names in search for them.

"Over here honey." My mom said, I heard her voice coming from the kitchen, when I got to the kitchen I saw my mom and dad standing together by the sink side, as I saw them I rushed to where they were and gave them a hug

"Thank you so much mom and dad," I was heading towards the front door to ride my new car."You won't regret it." I said to them as I entered my new car.

"I hope so." I heard my mom say under her breath.

As I got into my brand new car I scented that new car smell. "Ahhh new car smell." I said to myself. I got to school with a grin on my face, I parked my car at the parking lot area and guess who I saw, I saw Stacey holding hands with Dominic.

Stacey finally noticed me then faced Dominic to tell him something and they both hugged then she was heading my direction.

"Hi." She said

"Hey."

It was quite for a while until Stacey finally spoke.

"Look I'm sorry for not telling you that I was dating Dominic, it just that I didn't know how to tell you because you kinda hate his sister so I thought you would hate him too."

I laughed in my head at the thought of hating Dominic, like I said Dominic and Tiffany are like opposites.

"No no why would I hate Dominic, and besides I'm sorry I overreacted, I admit was a little jealous you had a real boyfriend before me."

"Friends?" She asked

"Friends."

"Kk." Stacey hugged me and we smiled at each other. "Sooo?" She asked.

"So what?"

"You think I have forgotten?" Stacey brought a wrapped gift from her bag and handed it to her. "Happy birthday Vans.". I took the present and hugged her

"Thank you so much."

"My pleasure."

I got to my locker to get my stuff then I saw Michael with a small grin on his face when he saw me, he came straight to meet me by my locker.

"Hey." He said

"Hi."

"I heard today's your birthday."

"Wow who told you?" I asked with a surprised look.

"I overhead Stacey talking to Dominic, something about your birthday being today."

"Yeah."

"So would you mind if I took you somewhere today to celebrate?"

"Well," I thought for second. "Sure why not."

"Great I'll pick you up at 7."

"Sounds great." Then he left.

I wonder how it going to turn out like where is he going to take me or is this an excuse for a date. I thought.

The bell rang showing that school was over, I got to my car turned the car on and went off, I drove in silence thinking about Michael, I tried to stop myself but I couldn't, I imagined him with his blue eyes and brown hair with his nicely placed cheeks.

I got home and all of a sudden I felt exhausted and went to my room and jumped on my bed and let out a light scream.

Suddenly I was shattered and I saw myself sitting by a pond with Michael and tears where streaming down my cheeks like a waterfall.

"Why are you crying."

"Why wouldn't I cry you're going to leave me alone without you."

"I'm not leaving you I'm with you in here" he said pointing to the left side of my chest."

Then I felt his lips pressed against mine and I woke up, yes it was just a dream. What was that supposed to mean, how would Michael leave me and what did that kiss mean. I thought with a sigh.

I checked the time on my phone and it was 6:50pm that meant I had only ten minutes to prepare for my 'date' with Michael, I jumped off my bed and went to my wardrobe I brought out a pair of jeans and a black and white top and I wore sandals sandals.

When I was done I heard the bell ring so I went downstairs to see who was at the door. "Coming." I opened the door and saw Michael with a grey shirt and khaki shorts.

"Hey."

"Hi," I paused for a while. "I guess it's time to go right?"

"Right."

We entered his car in minutes and we were fast in the road about to reach a destination that I knew nothing about. "So where are we going to?"

"You will have to wait and see love."

"Alright."

Minutes had passed, we reached a house that looked so familiar, it looked liked Stacey's house, we entered the house which was dark since the lights were turned off then immediately Michael turned the lights on.

"Surprise!" Screamed Stacey and my other friends.

"What is this?" I said in shock.

"You're surprise party love." Michael said from behind me.

"Wow, cool you guys are the best." I joined them in partying in minutes.

I was having the best day ever until...
