As Alex awakes from his sleep, he remembers about the plan him and Alyssa had. They were going to go to the dome (an artificial beach and forest) today.

After a few hours of waiting, Alex started to believe that Alyssa had forgotten about there plan. But just as he was about to sit down and watch tv, there was a knock on the door.

"About time!" he said to himself.

"Hurry the hell up!" Alyssa yells impatiently

As Alex opens the door Alyssa slugs him in the arm and then gives him a hug. "Nice to see you too." Alex said and rubs his arm that was punched.

"Are we going or what" Alyssa asks with a smirk

"Ya lets go"

As they arrive to the dome, Alex started to wonder what life would be like with out massive metal buildings, what a real beach or forest would look, feel , or even smell like. And as he gets him self engrossed with the idea, he hears Alyssa voice.

"Hey Alex, earth to Alex!"

As he snaps out of it, he noticed that they had arrived and had been in fact standing there for a few minuets.

"Ya sorry " he says in a apologetic way

"Your barcode Alex!"

"What?"

"You need to put your arm in the scanner. C'mon man you act like you've never been here!" She said in a annoyed tone

"Oh... Ya that's right" as Alex puts his wrist in the scanner, he could feel the heat the machine gave off.

He always hated using scanners, just the heat of it made him cringe. As the machine finished up scanning the doors unlocked. Once they got inside, he started looking for a secluded place on the beach, and away from the annoying people.

Once they found a spot and laid out there beach towels, Alyssa went off to get into here bikini. Alex took this time to get changed as we'll. As he was finishing off tying his swim trunks he over heard a man yelling at his wife and calling her fowl names from around the corner.

"Hey" Alex yelled "why don't you treat you wife a little bit better, or she might leave you for some one who does"

Just then as he turned the corner, he noticed that the man was well built.

"Excuse me? Are you talking to me?" The man said in an intimidating way

"Uhh... Ya... I was" Alex said sheepishly " I don't know who the fuck you think you are but you better leave before I smash your face" the man said

"NO!" Alex said determinedly

Just as he said that the man raised his fist up and popped Alex in the nose. The last thing that Alex remembered was the sensation of falling backwards and the blue sky, the sky he never saw except a fake one.

As he woke he noticed he was on the beach and Alyssa was over him, at first he didn't remember what happend. But then he felt a throbbing aching pain in his nose.

."DAMN!" He said in pain

"HAHA you baby, next time fight some one a little smaller" she said in a joking manor

"It's not funny!" He said angrily

"Ok little baby! Come on let's go for a swim."

Just as he was getting up, he couldn't help but stare at her in amazement. The light from the sun came down on her perfectly and the tan she was starting to get made it even better. He always had a crush on her, but it was getting worse and he knew it. But he could not find a reason to not like her... Even if she was a bitch some times, but she always manage to make up for that.

Alyssa noticed and pretended not to notice and play with her hair, but ended up being obvious with a big smile.

" come on loser your taking forever"

Alex noticed why she was smiling

" what? What are u smiling about, I... I was looking at that boat over there..." He said blushing

"Your a bad lier Alex, there is no boat over there" Alyssa said still smiling

A few hours later Alex and Alyssa were sitting on the beach

"Hey Alyssa? Remember when we were younger? When we wanted to explore the world?"

"Ya... Why? Whats up?" She sounded worried

" don't you ever wounded what's out there? Beyond the walls?"

"We'll... No!" She said skeptically

Alex noticed that Alyssa was starting to look a bit worried

" It's getting late Alex, I think I'm gonna go home"

"Can I walk you home?"

"Ya, sure!" She said
