As I awoke, I knew aromatically what I was going to do. I was going to join the rebels... We'll at least try and ask to. As I found Hyperus I told him my plan to join and my plan to end this wretched empire.
"We'll kid! If that's your decision, then go to the armory and grab a rifle... And a face wrap. We're heading out at twelve."
"Alright then!" I said excitedly
Once I found the armory and got my new rifle I grabbed a face wrap from an extras pile and headed for the main door. I found every one all geared up and also Alyssa with a medical field kit. They were all watching the nation news. The Overseer had issued a new mandatory law, no religion! He was listing all of them to remind us what we could still do.
"Gatherings that are not pre-approved are prohibited, free speech is prohibited, same sex marriage is out lawed, education beyond social class is strictly prohibited, and all religions are now out lawed in affect now! Thank you and have a nice day, remember! The Empire does what's best for the people!" Said the propagandist cheery
"Can you believe this shit? And people take it!" Said a voice from the crowd
"I know right! I can't wait to kill the bastard!" Cried another
As the TV continued to play it showed massive crowded gathering in protest and then the response of the empire. They sent in solders armed to the teeth mowing down civilians.
"Now is the time to make our move" said Hyperus
"HELL YA!" They all said in battle cry
We all loaded up in military trucks that were stolen. We could here gun shoots and the cries of people. I was ready to kill the Overseer, I wanted to see him beg for mercy.
Three years had past since I decided to join the rebels. The entire empire was split right in half, the rebel formed democracy and the empire ruled dictatorship. A cease fire was signed by both sides but ended with the empire breaking it, they were way more advance in weaponry and battle plans, but we out numbered them. It had only been not to long ago the cease fire was broken but it felt so long,me and Alyssa always watched each others back and I had mad some friends so I was trying to watch there backs too.
"Hey! I could us some help!" Cole shouted
Cole was one of the friends I had maid along with Chase, we all had became close friends including Alyssa, They were almost like brothers to me.
"Hold up, I got you man!" Chase tried to yell over the sounds of gunfire.
We were send to back up a group that was trying to hold the defenses on the imaginary border, but it was clear they were killed. The imperial army had send in mechs and cloaked snipers, and on top of that they had new units to test on us. He'll hounds were genetically enhanced attack dogs. And the new armor was thicker and scarier.
"God damn empire and there stupid mechs!" Chase cried out
"Some one! I need a grenade!" A voice yelled out from behind
It was a back up battalion just in case we weren't heard from in a currant amount of time.
"Bout fucking time!" I yelled
Once the imperial bastards were dealt with me and my group headed back to base. On our way I noticed our side was doing better and prospering much better than the empires. It was slow but we were actually defeating the empire! There was rumor that the empire was building a weapon that could potentially kill billions, some sort of bomb. But who knows it could be a super carrier. There were also talk that the empire was redirecting their starships from the war on the other side of the wall to dispose of us, that one sounded more realistic. Only time would tell.
