Something Better Than A Kiss

Chapter 4

Sakura's POV

It has been two days since I slept in Sasuke's bed and I'm still trying to remember what I forgot to bring home. How did I know that I left something? Instincts.

After I check the paperbag he gave me for my clothes, for the nth time, I decide to give up and just forget about it. I let out a light sigh.

The alarm clock startles me big time. You see, I woke up before my alarm today which is a bit weird because I don't really hear the alarm when I'm sleeping most of the time. I am about to go to my bathroom when somebody knocks on my door. I hurry to the door and open, only to find Sasuke standing calmly in front of me. I try to be calm.

"Yes, Sasuke-kun?" okay what's with the suffix?

"You left something in my bathroom..". He says and hands me a  small paperbag.

"Thank you...anything else?"

"None" he says and  turns to leave.

The paperbag is light and so I wonder what is it I left. I spread the sides of the bag open. And sh*t,

It's the undergarment I used that day. The cups seems to be dry. I put it in front of my nose and sniff. What the? They smell like lavanders!

I never felt so embarassed.

How did he?
Why did he?

Damn it! Why didn't I check before I left? Ugh.

After several tries to forget about what I just witnessed, I walk into the shower, feeling stressed as ever.

Even though Sasuke and I are the only ones who know about that so embarassing moment, I can not afford to raise my head in public because he might meet my eyes. How did he even act so calmly earlier?

Well, that's what he always do.

I walk faster to the hospital so that he wouldn't see me anywhere. He might be lurking around the village at this time.

I arrive at my office inside the hospital and find Lady Tsunade sitting on one of my chairs. Curiosity hits me.

"Ohayo, Tsunade-sama. Can I help you?" I ask.

"Not at all, Sakura. In fact, I am giving you a day off today since you finished the research successfully yesterday."

"What?"

"Why don't you want a day off?" she asks sarcastically.

I honestly want a day off so badly but since I've got to catch up to training during rest days, that means I will encounter Sasuke around. And after what he did, I really don't want to see him, or talk to him because if I did, it will be the end of my dignity. I exhale heavily after thinking hard.

"O-of course I do, Tsunade-sama" I tell her.

"Hn. I sense that there's something bothering you. What is it?" she asks and my cheeks heat up.

"The-there's nothing hehe" I quickly respond while waving my hands in front of me.

"Whatever then. Just have a good day in training" she says and leaves.

Have a good day? I guess I'm going to witness myself losing my own dignity. 

I look at my wall clock. Damn it, it's just so early to see the team but I obviously have no choice. I take off my lab gown and pull off my pony tail, only to notice my hair getting longer. I wonder if I should get a haircut.

At the hospital entrance, I see Sai walking by. I run to him and ask if he and I can go together to the training grounds. "Sure, Ugly" he replies. Ugly huh? I roll my eyes at him as he smiles in a fake way. I'm used to him though, because he always does that. Trying to avoid awkward silence, I ask him,

"Where have been anyway? You place is the nearest to the training grounds among all of us. What brought you along this street?"

He looks at me almost in shock, then suddenly, he fakes a smile again. This guy is pure weirdo most of the time.

"Oh, I went to the library" he replies.

"Yeah right" I say. I know he went to see Ino anyways. When we arrive near the training grounds, we hear an explosion. Naruto and Sasuke.

"Those two are at it again" Sai complains.

"Yeah. We better go to them and remind them that we still exist" I tell him.

We were right of course. The two started training without us. Even Kakashi-sensei is still not around. He's probably busy reading that book all over again. Naruto stops attacking when he sees us.

"Oi, Sakura-chan! Finally, we can train together again!" he yells and grins as Sai and I approach them.

"I'm here too, Dickless" Sai retorts with a smile. Ew, creepy.

I try not to glance at Sasuke and ask, "Where the hell is Kakashi-sensei?"

"Nah. He probably late again-ttebayo!" the blonde says.

"Ohayo!" speaking of the devil.

"Late again are we?" Sasuke speaks.

"Ohayo, Kakashi" Sai greets and,

"Oi Kakashi-sensei, can you be early next time? All you do is read that lusty book of yours. Hmp!" Naruto complains. Kakashi-sensei turns to me as if expecting me to say something too. I say,

"I swear I'll get that book if you're still late next time, Kakashi-sensei"

"Hehe. Well then, let's start!" Kakashi-sensei declares. "You will be separated into 2 teams. Since Naruto and Sasuke obviously don't want to paired together, I let them pick who they want with them. Naruto, Sasuke?" he adds.

Naruto raises his hand and says, "I pick Sai!" with a grin. I glare at him .I swear I'm going to punch the hell out of him later for letting me get paired with Sasuke this time, this time when something embarrassing happened.

"Then that leaves Sasuke with Sakura. Spread out!" Kakashi-sensei declares and then we run to the opposite sides. As I am following Sasuke, I feel my face heat up. Damn that Naruto. I hope he is not doing this on purpose or else I'm going to kill him.
