thanks so much everyone! I got a bunch of comments overnight, so I thought I'd write this straight away.

Back to Harry's point of view now.

--------------------------------------------------------

Harry and Luna lay at the foot of the lake, holding hands. Not in the boyfriend-girlfriend "romantic" way, but a friend being there for the other. They'd both become a bit homesick, if you could call it that, lately. It was a beautiful day outside, they lay there thinking. There was snow on the ground, but they had a blanket, and with a few helpful spells they kept warm.

They'd been let out of class for the last session before people left for the Christmas holidays. Apparently Dumbledore had told their teachers that the two of them didn't need class time as much as others. Their teachers agreed ofcourse.

Ron was angry at Harry. Not so much that he was ignoring him, but they'd had an argument or two. First time they'd argued about Harry knowing too many spells, and being to good in class. Ron would say stuff like "How did you get so good?" or "Are you cheating?" and Harry would reply everytime "I can't tell you know! I promise I will soon!". That led to their other argument, Ron wanted to know when he would tell them. All Harry could say was "Next year."

When Harry had been dismissed from transfiguration, Ron had looked furious and jealous. Harry had to think of something to make it up to him during the Christmas break. Maybe a really good present, or maybe he could tell him a little more. Or both?

They started looking at the clouds, saying what they looked like. They saw turtles, dragons, stars, lions. Luna seemed to say Crumple-Horned Snorckak for every second cloud. Every other cloud was some animal Harry'd never heard of before.

After some time they had to go back up to the castle. Even their spells couldn't stop the cold now, they didn't know enough. So instead they sat infront of the fire in the common room, playing wizards chess. If Ron thought Harry was terrible, well he should play Luna. It seemed she was making up her own game as they played. Harry wouldn't put it past her to do that.

Ron walked in with Hermione. He was in a better mood which was good to see. Harry apologized and he nodded like he understood, but Harry knew he wasn't completely forgiven yet.

"I'm not staying over the break, how many of you are?" asked Hermione

"I am, so is Percy, Fred and George." said Ron

"Yeah me too." said Harry

"I'm staying with my dad." Luna said, standing up. "Shall we leave together?" she asked Hermione.

"Sure, I'll just grab my bag."

"Um, I've got to go to the owlery, but I'll be back in a minute." Harry told Ron

Up at the owlery, Harry had a piece of parchment, a quill and some ink. Whatever present he got Ron, he'd have to get it by mail order. Hopefully Hedwig could fly fast enough to bring it too him. That gave him an idea, but it would cost a lot. And what if the shop didn't send it straight away?

Oh well worth a try. With that he sent Hedwig off and headed back down stairs. Luna and Hermione left a few hours later, after dinner. Apart from a few students in the fifth year, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle were the only others staying for the holidays. After the last attack most people wanted to go home. Late that night Hedwig came back with Ron's present. Wow, he thought, that was really quick for a little extra money.

He stayed up until he heard Ron's loud snore. Making sure he was asleep, he laid the package down at the end of his bed. He laid down himself, falling asleep instantly. The familiar dream greeted him, Voldemort tearing down Hogwarts, then everyone that he'd left behind, watching him through impenetrable glass. He tried so hard to speak to them, but they just stared at him blankly.

He woke up before Ron, pleased to see a pile of presents on the end of his bed. Harry grabbed his pillow and chucked it at Ron's head.

"Ow! Whuzzgoinon?" he said "Alright, presents! Whoa what's this one?" he said, seeing Harry's package.

"It looks like a...." he trailed off after unwrapping Harry's package.

Out rolled onto his bed, a brand new, shiny Nimbus 2001.

"Whoa!" he exclaimed. He picked up the card.

"But this must've cost so much! Why would you spend so much on me?"

"Don't mention it! Now open your other presents quickly, so you can have a go on it!"

Ron stammered many thankyou's after that. Fred and George came in, surprisingly looking not jealous at all. They made jokes about it, as well as many about their jumpers from Mrs Weasley. They had breakfast with Ginny, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. Crabbe and Goyle weren't very pleasant to hang around.

After breakfast, they all went on the Quidditch Pitch, apart from Crabbe and Goyle. They played two on two whilst someone refereed for a while, the twins taking turns with Ron on his broom. They raced the 2000 against the 2001's as well.

Then they had snowfights, every man for himself. They fought until their faces went pink. Then they bewitched snowballs to fly up and hit the Gryffindor windows, where Percy was studying. He stuck his head out a few times, each time getting hit with a snowball in the face.

The feast that night was magnificent. They had such a good day, and oddly a fun time with the teachers at dinner. They loosened up a bit, perhaps because they weren't teaching, or because they'd drunken a bit. They pulled crackers, were trading hats and laughing at the corniest of jokes. It was weird to see.

In the common room they stayed up late playing Exploding Snap. It was better to play with an empty common room, no one complained about the noise. They played one final round, then went up to the dormitories.

Climbing into bed after changing into his pajama's, Harry finally decided to tell Ron more. He'd been debating with him self all day if he should do it or not. He'd also been wordering how much to say, and if Ron would believe him.

"Listen mate," he began " I would honestly tell you everything right now, if I wasn't afraid you wouldn't believe me. If I told you, you wouldn't understand yet, but I know you will next year. But I will tell you some of it, the bits that are less crazy."

"Ok." said Ron, sitting on his bed.

"I'm not really twelve. I'm physically twelve, but my minds a bit older. I don't want to tell you how much, or how though, not yet. Next year, something will happen that will help you understand, so for now all I can tell you is that. That's why I can do a bunch of spells. I really wish I could tell you more, but you might think me crazy."

"Ok, so if I ask you questions, you won't tell me?" said Ron. He was taking it pretty well.

"Well your asking me a question now, but I will answer, depending on the question."

"Will you tell Hermione and Luna this when they get back?"

"Yes. But Luna is a part of this as well."

"Oh, right, yeah she was good in class too. Well, can you predict the future or something?"

"Sort of. But I won't tell you anything, because doing that will change the future."

"Oh, I see."

"Anything else?"

"Not at the moment. This is kind of cool though, isnt it? Oh wait, I thought of another question! How long have you been like this?"

"Since the start of this school year, a few weeks before I think."

"But that was when you stayed at my house! Why didn't you say anything?"

"Well honestly I was confused, I didn't know what was going on. Goodnight."

"Alright, night."

I know it's short and uneventful, but the next chapter will be better. Promise.

Hope you like it. By the way, do you like me writing from Luna's view? Do you want me to do it again? Comment!
