I breath in the cold November air and shiver. I don't like the cold, I like spring. It's warm and sunny, with everything blooming and bursting in color. Emmeranne actually likes this weather. I sigh. I haven't talked to Emmeranne since the whole Malfoy-library incident. That idiot cost me my sister. Well, my half-sister. But I love her like a sister.

An occasional "Hi Leandra" or "Hello Leandra" would be said behind me, and I would turn around to wave at the people who say it. It's unbelievable the amount of friends I've made the past month here at Hogwarts. I always dreamed it would be like this. To be friends with everyone at school and later on meet the love of my life. In my seventh year, of course. I can't let romance get in the way of my education.

One more person says hello, and when I turn around to return that hello, I catch a glimpse of Emmeranne. She looks at little happier than usual. She must be going to see Malfoy. I don't know what she sees in that guy, but he gave me a perfect opportunity to talk to Emmeranne. Emmeranne won't get as angry now if I talk to her.

"Emmeranne", I say, chasing after her.

Emmeranne turned around. When she saw me, her nostrils flared and she rolled her eyes. Emmeranne kept walking after that.

"Emmeranne, wait", I say. I grab her shoulder and turn her around.

"What could you possibly want?" Emmeranne hissed, throwing my hand of her shoulder . Her eyes were filled with deep anger. So maybe I was wrong about her not getting angry. Oops.

"Are you still mad about what happened at the library?" I asked her.

"Well of course", Emmeranne said. She moved her arms around as she spoke. "I saw you almost snog my boyfriend!"

"You're still mad about that?" I ask. "It's been a month"

Emmeranne crossed her arms and stood, showing her side. "You know it takes me a long time to get over things"

I sighed. "Let me explain what happened".

Emmeranne turned to face me. I looked at me though half-closed eyelids. "Go ahead"

We sat down at the ledge of one of the columns. "For starters, you're boyfriend was bothering me in a flirtatious way. I was getting sick of him, so I hit him with a book in his arm. He made a big dramatic scene about it, then he leaned on top of me, trying to get me to apologize. I swear, if you hadn't come to the library, she would have kissed me against my own will"

"Would it have really against you will?" Emmeranne asked with doubt and a little bit of disgust.

"Oh please Emmeranne, believe me" I pleaded. "You're looking like a sister to me, you are a sister to me, in fact. I don't want our friendship to end over a boy. He might not even be your true love, as you might think". Emmeranne scoffed at that part. "All I'm asking you to do is to believe me".

Emmeranne looked at the ground for a while, then looked back at me. "I do believe you. To be honest, I always had my doubts about Draco's loyalty"

I was so glad and relieved that I tackled her in a hug. We both laughed.

Emmeranne stood up after we stopped hugging. I did to.

"Want to do something with me?" I asked her. "We haven't hung out in a while"

Emmeranne frowned. "Sorry, I can't. I have other plans."

"With who?" I asked her.

She gave me a small smile. "With Draco"

I made a face of horror and disbelief. "After I told you what he did?"

Emmeranne's smile became mischievous. "Who said Draco was going to have a good time?". On that note, she walked away.

I smiled and crossed my arms. For once, she'll truly confront that piece of trash. I sat back down on the ledge and took out a book, and began to read. The wind blew in my face and I took a deep breath. Maybe the cold weather isn't so bad.
