After Greg showed up The Gems didn't get to see Rose that much. But the ones that missed her the most was Pearl and Amethyst. Garnet was her own relationship. (A fusion all the time.) But Pearl and Amethyst were alone. Amethyst was the youngest gem out of all them. And attached herself to Rose Quartz like a baby duck to its mom. This in itself made Pearl jealous. But a human!
"Hey Amethyst," pearl said almost with caution.
"Yes Pearl?"
"I know we both like Rose."
"So," Amethyst said, blushing a little.
"Well, She's dating Greg, so I thought what if? We date, you know, to get back at her. Show her we're as capable partners as Greg."
"So you asking me out."Amethyst said wide eyed.
"yes."
"OK, but I would have said yes even if you didn't mention Rose."
"I had to make sure it would be hard for you to say no." Pearl said hand around Amethyst's waist. Pulling her closer until they kissed.
"I love you Pearl, never leave me."
