I stopped at the flower shop to get Leah some roses. Then I picked Joe up a bottle of Jack Daniels. Man I hope he doesn’t kick me out since I hurt his girl.

I got out of the truck and went to nock on there door.

“Hi Joe I um brought you this bottle.”

“Well son seeing as how you’re here, does that mean your back with Leah?”

“Yes Sir and there is some very important things I need to say to you.”

“Well come on in and lets sit and have a drink.”

I followed him to their sitting room and he served us a drink. Yes I needed some liquid courage.

“First off I would like to start by apologizing for hurting your daughter. Seems I have a bit of a problem with listening. But Leah has volunteered to teach me.”

He laughs.

“I also would like to tell you that I Love your daughter with all my hear. I am a hard working man who is willing to give up bull riding for her.”

I smile at Joe.

This kid must not know that I know he doesn’t like bull riding. But if it wins him some points with my Leah, more power to him.

“I also want to ask your permission to ask for your daughters hand in marriage.”

He get’s up laughing and smacks me on the back. “It’s about God damn time boy.”

I swallow “is that a yes?”

“No son that’s a HELL YES!”

I smile all cheesy. Then I hear my baby coming down the stairs. She looked gorgeous in a black halter dress. That showed off miles of incredible legs. She had on what can only be called fu*k me heals on. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

Dam I’m a lucky man.

“Chance you’re here.”

I still haven’t regained the use of my voice so I just nod yes.

“Shall we go Chance.”

I clear my throat “Yes baby you ready.”

I open the truck door and put my hands on her waist and lift her up and deposit her gently on the seat. Then I reach for the seat belt and inhale a very erotic and exotic coconut scent that drives me wild.

I lean in a nuzzle her neck and notice her nipples tighten to tight peeks. Damn this is going to be a long torturous night.

I drive us to the restaurant and we have dinner and a very nice conversation. I apologize again and she smiles. God I love this woman.

After dinner we head to my ranch. Dad gave Luke and me a piece of land so that we can build a house on it when we were ready to settle down. I want to bring Leah out here so she can see it.

I stop the truck and help her out, letting her down very slowly and very close to my body. She looks at me with confusion.

“Why are we here”

“You see this spot here, it’s mine. This is where I want to build my house.”

I turn her to face me.

“This is where I see my future taking care of this ranch. Seeing my children run around here. The only thing missing is the woman who will spend the rest of her life with me.”

I get down on one knee “Leah will you marry me. I promise I will always love you and respect you. With your help I also promise to be more understanding and to listen.”

I see tears in her eyes and she says “yes.”

I get up and wrap her in my arms and twirl her around. I kiss her as I put her back on her feet.

“This ring has been in my family for many generations. It has been handed down to the first male of the family so he can give it to the woman he is going to spend the rest of his life with. We can have it resized later.”

I grab her hand and place it on her finger. To our surprise it’s a perfect fit.

“Did I tell you this ring had magic in it? Every Woman who has worn it has lived a happily married life. No one ever got divorced. One day we will hand it down to our first son.”

“I love it Chance.”

“My grandmother gave it to me on her death bed and made me promise I would only give it to the woman I loved so much I would be willing to die for.”

“Oh Chance I love you so much.”

“I want you to come with me to the bar so we can tell my parent’s.”

She smiles “Ok lets go.”

When we arrived the place was packed and I told mom and dad she said yes. They got on the microphone and told the bar the next round was on them because there oldest son was getting married. Luke was there helping tend the bar.

“So you did it man, I’m so happy for you.”

“Not as happy as I am” I wink at him.

“So where’s Mary Joe?” Luke asked Leah.

“Oh she’s out with Mark.”

I saw Luke’s jaw tighten “You snooze you loss little brother.”

Not 6 minutes later in walks Mary Joe and Mark.

“Mark I don’t think this is a good idea.”

“Oh believe me this is going to be fun. If you want him to finally admit that he loves, you have to make him think he is going to lose you.”

“Why are you doing this Mark?”

“Well this little arrangement if going to benefit you and me. You need to make Luke jealous and I need a front. You see Ben was not the only gay guy in the circuit. But unlike Ben who’s parents where accepting. Mine are not going to accept.”

He shrugs “plus I’m not ready to come out. I figure I take you home a couple of times till Luke finally realizes what he has. That will get my parents off my back.”

I hug him “I’m sorry you have to go through that. But thank you for the help.”

　

What the hell did she just hug him! I can’t believe this, it’s only been 1 ½ weeks since we stopped seeing each other. Now here she is with this loser.

I watch as they make there way to the dance floor. He’s holding her to tight. Why doesn’t she push him back. This can’t be happening how can she move on from me to him.

“Luke I know what that look means. You gave her up and pushed her away. You can’t expect her not to move on.”

“Shut up Chance.”

Do Really want er back? Do I love her? Fu*k I frab a bottle of red wine and down it................................
