Winter School

Chapter 2: The school inside.

What we immediatly notice is the Winter atmosphere inside!

There are christmas trees, big puffed up snowmans, christmas lights, christmas decorations, and much more!

There was a teacher waiting for us, Ms. Raquel, who told all of us to go to the theater because the principal had an announcement for us she said.

It was a very busy day as usual, but the three of us never expected that we would have to gather in the theater like this suddenly, as the principal usually is a very silent man unless it comes to organizations or events.

As we moved in the theather, Tadashi asked us: "What could it be that the principal want from us?"

I responded: "I don't know, but whatever it is, I hope it takes a lot of time because, the longer it takes the longer no classes!"

Xenia responds aswell saying: "Pfft, I hope this finishes fast because the first class we have is math after all!"

Tadashi and I say at the same time: "Boo, you know it's our least favorite!" as Xenia giggles.

We sit down in the theater next to eachother as we look up at the principal, standing next to a big lever while everyone else curiously looks at the lever instead of the principal.

Before the principal starts speaking, Ms. Raquel stands up from behind the principal as walking to the microphone saying: "Hello hello, attention please the principal has a big announcement to say, please pay attention to him! Here he comes, principal Pacifico!"

The kids clap silently as he walks forward, including the three of us.

He starts speaking: "Now now, no need for all the formality Ms. Raqual but thanks anyways, everyone! Today as Ms. Raqual already said is a big day! I have an announcement for you all! As you already might have noticed, you see this big lever on the right of me, I bet everyone is wondering what it will do for you, which you shall soon find out!" 

The kids start clapping rapidly and yelling: "Show us! Don't keep us waiting for so long!"

As the principal speaks: "There there, calm down, no need to rush me, I'm already pretty old after all..!"

As he walks towards the lever, the kids start getting impatient, as he gets closer and asks: "Are you ready?" 

The kids nearly start getting uncontrollably loud, as he pulls the lever and the roof opens from above all of us! Snow starts pouring down inside of the school!

The principal says: "Well a big surprise don't you think? From now on we will be a Winter school during this period of time! As long as it snows the school will be open until 9 PM everyday!"

All the kids cheer, including us being very excited about this news.

The kids are already nearly starting snowball fights as the principal starts speaking again: "Hold on! First it's time for class! During breaks you can play, or after school!"

Everyone responds: "Awww.." As the kids slowly walk back to their classes while looking back at the snow.

Tadashi yells to us: "But this is great news isn't it? Now we have snow during school and after school!"

Xenia and I both cheer: "Yes!"

As we arrive in the first class, math, we all silently study while looking at the clock every 5 minutes to see if it's break yet.

Xenia asks: "Don't we have sports after this class? I wonder how we will do that with all the snow.."

Tadashi responds: "Snowball fight!"

I respond: "I doubt it but I bet it will be better than regular sports!"

The school bell rings as we move to the sport hall.

The sport hall is filled with snow, and in the middle there is a huge pool of ice that seems like it was made recently.

We walk forwards as our teacher Ms. Raquel is waiting for us as she speaks: "Hey! We got some ice skates for all of you! Today will be ice skating and more during sports!"

As all the kids from the class cheer including us, we run up ahead to find out our size for the ice skates as we put them on.

We get on the ice without hesitation, half of the people including me aren't very good at ice skating, because we never did it before.

I personally don't mind it because this is a good opportunity to learn it!

Tadashi and Xenia are very good at ice skating after all, they usually go to snowy countries on vacations and had many chances to do so.

I ask them "Tadashi, Xenia, can either of you teach me how to ice skate?"

Ms. Raquel steps forward saying: "I can help too, I will help the other kids too after all, it could be like a little ice skate class!"

We make half of the ice for people that want to learn, and the other half for people that know how to ice skate already.

So we split into 2 groups, as I move to the little ice skate class with Ms. Raquel and the other kids that can't ice skate.

While Ms. Raquel is talking a lot, I am paying more attention to the kids that can ice skate like my friends Tadashi and Xenia, as they seem very good at it, it's hard to take my eyes off them while I start paying less and less attention to the class.

Suddenly Ms. Raquel says: "Alright, ready to see some examples?"

I say n-n..yes! I am ready! 

Aswell as the other kids say that they are ready, we watch Ms. Raquel put on a little show, doing axels aswell as just ice skating in a beautiful way.

As Xenia notices we all pay attention to Ms. Raquel she gets a little jealous and yells: "Hey Ms. Raquel! I can do this too, watch me!"

Ms. Raquel responds: "Sure, take all the space you want! I don't mind, show us what you got!"

As Xenia nods and smiles, she skates forward and starts skating in a circle first in a natural way, then starts jumping a bit, and then she says: "Ready for my axel!?" She picks up some speed, jumps high in the sky and starts turning, she noticed she can't make the landing and panics! She falls flat on the ice while attempting the axel, as she looks in a massive pain, Tadashi, Ms. Raquel and me move forward immediatly to check up on her.....
