Before I continue with the update I just want to warn you that I was at a family friend’s barbecue tonight while Dance Moms was on. At first me, and a couple other girls, watched the episode together. However, my mom’s been sick lately and wasn’t feeling well so my family left. I made sure I left right when the commercials started, but it takes awhile to get from their house to ours so I missed around 7-10 minutes of Dance Moms. There might be some parts missing for the time being, but when the full episode is up on Lifetime’s website I’ll watch it and fill in the parts I missed. Sorry again, but let’s get to the recap!

So we start off at the pyramid and the first thing that catches my eye is that Brooke and Paige are STILL on the pyramid, even after Kelly stormed out for the third time! You can tell that Leslie is none to pleased that the Hylands are still on the pyramid, but what are you gonna’ do? I was just confused because usually, when the Hylands leave, Abby leaves them out of the pyramid and forgets about them until they come back. I think the fact that Abby left their pictures on the pyramid shows how much she wants them to come back. Next on the pyramid is Payton.I wanted to be happy for her, I mean she’s never been on the pyramid, so this is kind of a huge deal for her, but I just can’t like her! Trust me, I try real hard and I’m assuming she’s an all right kid, but how she conducts herself on the show does reflect my opinions on her. Next is Asia. So far, I’m agreeing with the pyramid so far, this is good. I completely agree with Abby when it comes to Asia’s weaknesses. Although she’s super sassy that girl can’t dance in a group. She’s always a beat or two behind everyone else. Mackenzie used to have that flaw, but she’s learned to keep up with the older girls, which is one of the many reasons that she was above Asia on the pyramid. However, Kristie, thinking that Mackenzie is gum on the bottom of Asia’s shoe, vocally complained about Mackenzie’s placement over Asia’s. Did I mention this was in front of Mackenzie? Who does that? You can be unhappy with where your daughter is placed, but you should never ever say that your daughter deserved to be higher then another child. Did we learn nothing from Jill is Season 2A? Especially not in front of the child because that makes her feel bad! Way to go Kristie! No, really GO Kristie, like far away because you’re not welcome on my TV screen! Chloe didn’t really pull my eye in the last episode, in fact lately she’s just been blending in, which I guess is good. She hasn't been Abby's punching bag for weeks. Something interesting to know is that Chloe is now considered a teen in some competitions. Maddie would still be considered a junior. That means there will be a whole year where Maddie and Chloe can’t compete against each other. It will also be interesting because now that Chloe will be considered a teen she’ll be going against Brooke, assuming Brooke will return. (She will.) What I’m curious about is who Abby would want to see win. When it’s Maddie vs. Chloe Abby is seen giving Maddie more time to work on her solo, so what I want to know is if Abby will give Brooke and Chloe even amounts of practice, favor one over the other or just not have the two compete against each other at all. Anyways, Maddie was 3rd on the pyramid. I saw it coming because of the promo, but I can’t say I agree with it. Any “devoted” Dance Moms fan knew that Maddie had an unaired solo last week and that she placed 1st for it. Stop denying it Lifetime! Maddie totally deserved to be on the top because she won the overall score! That’s how the pyramid usually works. I was super proud of Kendall for being second on the pyramid. Usually, during the group dances I find myself looking at one specific person, usually Maddie or Chloe and occasionally Brooke. However, this time I couldn’t stop staring at Kendall. I feel like everything just clicked and she was beautiful! And on the top of the pyramid is Nia. Am I happy that she’s finally on the top again? Of course I am! Do I think she necessarily deserved to be on the top? I can’t say I did. I was very impressed that she asked Abby what she needed to improve on, even after the group dance won and the trio beat Cathy. I think it showed how hard Nia works and her desire to improve. If I were in charge of the pyramid I probably would’ve switched Maddie and Nia’s spots. The pyramid isn’t for making people feel good. It’s for showing where you stand.
