"Babe, forget about him." Abby said searching through the sports shorts.

"But we were per-" I began.

"I know hon. Everyone knew that too! But he's trouble and bad news. You should be thankful he's over you!" Abby said pulling out a pair of black Nike shorts then scanning the price in disgust.

"I think I'm still attached." I murmured.

"Yeah, I noticed. If Jesse sees you hurting,  that is only what he wants. You need to be more confident in yourself." Abby and I walked out of the little store of Glennbrooke  mall, entering the Starbucks across the street.

"You need to find another great guy, like Jesse was, just... Better." Abby began. "I'll have a vanilla frappe and a soft sugar cookie on the side."

"Um ill have a hot chocolate, and can I have a soft sugar cookie also." I said.

"Alright lady's, the total is $10.36." The woman at the counter took my credit card.

"Credit or debit?"

"Dosnt matter." I said.

"Okay." She handed my card back. "Wait down there." She pointed to a counter about 10 feet away.

"Have a nice day!" I shouted.

"Anyways, you need a handsome, sweet, caring, and amazing boyfriend." Abby said.

Jesse was all those. He just didn't care about our relationship as much as I did. I guess I went too far.

"Vanilla frappe, hot chocolate, and two soft sugar cookies?" A man looked at me and asked.

"Yup! Thanks."

Abby and I walked out Starbucks, and towards the patio they had.

"I miss him. A lot. I mean what type of person am I to not? He was like the perfect guy. For any girl." I said playing with the marshmallows in my drink.

"You never did tell me how you guys broke up. Your BFF deserves to know this." Abby took a huge bite out of her cookie, not letting her eyes off me.

"Well..."

I was drown into a bad memory.

                      \(@.@)/

Me and Jesse, my boyfriend at the time, were at the movies, chomping away at popcorn. We were watching Reck It Ralph. (We are such kids.)

"Babe, ill be back, gonna go get more candy and pop. Need anything?" Jesse asked grabbing his pop cup.

"Mmm... More Pepsi, and M&M's. Thanks!"

I handed him my cup and trash. He turned around and left. I noticed his phone fell out of his pocket. I grabbed it, and it was still on. So I went to turn it off, but there were five new messages, and I couldn't help but notice they were from Kaylin. She was his ex-girlfriend. Trying not to be a snoop, I read them anyways.

Kaylin

Hey we should go out on Saturday.

(Jesse)

I would love to, but I can't. I have a girlfriend by the way. Leave us alone.

Kaylin

But babe...

:(

Please I miss you.

Reply!

Whatever.

I was glad to find our relationship was steady. Then another text came in.

Mom

Hon, your girlfriend is here. Did you tell Niki it's over yet? Kaylin is anxious.

I put my hand over my mouth and turned his phone off. I wanted to pretend I never saw that. As soon as I gave my attention to the screen Jesse came back. He kissed my cheek and we held hands. Later that day though, he checked his phone, and minutes later, said the words I never wanted to hear.

End of memory

"That's what happened?!" By the time I finished my story my hot chocolate was cold, and Abby snuck a few bites of my cookie. Oh well, I lost my appetite anyways.
