Niklaus was looking out the cracked window towards the old pond. Memories from last year's tragedy came rushing through his head.

"What do you mean?!" exclaimed Niklaus
"Klaus...you have to let go hun. It's the only way." Aurora whispered. Her voice tainted with fear.
Niklaus looked around in vexation searching for a safe way out of this. He saw nothing. Oh god! He thought to himself. What am I gonna do?
He came back to focus when he heard voices coming. He looked down at Aurora her eyes had widened with fear. Then she closed her eyes as if she was trying to convey a happy reverie in her mind. Her body relaxed but so did her hand.
"Aurora." Klaus warned.
"You have to let me go Klaus or we'll both die. You have too much to live for." she said with a smile.
That's when she released his arm completely.
