Part two - First morning.

Lydia Ross.

I woke the next morning by my alarm clock. Six thirty, I had exactly an hour and a half to get ready. Josh was still sleeping. He actually looked peaceful for once. I liked him better this way - asleep that is.  Sadly, I had to wake him up. He was my ride to school and I did not want to be late.

"Josh, wake up." I whispered, but that didn't help. I slapped his cheek three time, very loose just to wake him up. "Josh, wake up." I repeated. He raised his head a little, growling.

"Stop. Give me a couple of minutes, will you?" Josh muttered in a husky, British accent. He turned his head the other way and tried to go back to sleep. I walked towards our bathroom to take a quick shower. Just when I was about to lock the door I noticed there was no key to lock it with. Shit.

"Josh, where is the bathroom key?" I asked him.

"There is no key. Don't worry, I won't come in." He replied, fading in to sleep. Alright then. I closed the door and stripped down until I only had on my underwear. Once they were off, I stepped in to the shower and turned on the water.

That's when I heard the bathroom door open. "Josh!" I yelled in chock. He told me he wouldn't barge in. Thank God for shower curtains.

"I'm sorry, It's an emergency." He said followed by what sounded like a chuckle. Josh Winters was about to pee while I stood completely naked in the shower. Once again, thank God for shower curtains. "Plus, It's not like I've never seen a girl naked before." He added. Unnecessary, really.

"Shut up, that doesn't give you the permission to see me naked." I hissed at him. Did we really have this discussion? Josh didn't answer, he did his duty and left. I could now get back to showering.

"We have to set some rules." I said, stepping in to the car and slamming the door. "First of all, do not walk in to the bathroom while I shower. I don't care if you bladder is about to explode." Josh rolled his eyes and sighed deeply.

But I had just gotten started. "- no doing 'it' with girls in our room." That made him chuckle, even though I was death serious. I mean just the thought of him having sex in our room is... Ugh...

"Fine, pretty girl. Are you done now?" He said pulling up in the school parking lot. We lived only of couple of minutes away from the school - if you took the car. I tried to think of more thing to forbid, but I couldn't. I slowly shook my head before walking out of the car and slamming the door behind me. Josh did the same.

I walked three feet in front of him the whole way to the hallway where we went our different ways. Somehow it felt weird being seen in public with my new step brother.

"There she is!" Trent said giving me a hug from the back. My best friend was a guy. Yep, I'm one of those girls. He turned me around and put his hands on my shoulders. "How's it going with Josh Winters?" He asked with that 'I'm here for you' tone.

"Like hell, He walked in on me showering today." Trent's face changed. "-but he didn't see anything. The shower curtain was in the way." That made him look a little more relieved. Trent was like an overprotective brother to me. He stood up for me when no one else did. And he knew stuff about me no one else knew.

"Need me to kick his ass?" He whispered in all seriousness before cracking a smile.

"No offence, but he would totally win that fight. Have you seen his abs?" I said, flashing back to yesterday night, before Josh and I went to sleep. Trent rolled his eyes.

"They're not that great." He muttered. Trent had a pretty decent body too. However not as great as Josh's, I have to admit. "Are you coming to the game after school?" He asked. The smile was now back.

"Of course! I always come, don't I?" I said smiling back. Trent and Josh were on the same football team, so I could probably get a ride home from Josh afterwards.

"That's one of the reasons why I love you - You're the only one who actually makes time for me." Trent said. His parents were workaholics, so I spent most of the time at his house. We'd have sleepovers and watch bad movies while shoving snicker bars down our throats.

"Your parents love you Trent, that's why they work - so they can give you stuff..." That sounded better in my head. I had just said that they are buying him love. Good job, Lydia.

Luckily Trent chuckled and gave me a tight hug. "You suck at comforting." He said.

"I know." I muttered into his chest.
