Happy Easter, but more importantly Happy Once Day!

The waves crashed on the sandy shore that they walked on. Their hands were tightly clasped together as the sun set in the background. Belle closed her eyes and breathed in the salty fresh air. It was perfect. He was by her side and nothing could change that.

"Rumple?" she asked.

"Yes, darling?" he replied.

"I never want this to end," she said with an easy smile.

"Neither do I," he said.

He pulled her into his arms as they faced the setting sun that sprayed colors all over the sky. The wind started to strengthen and whipped her hair back. Rumple's body shifted at this sudden wind. Clouds from the west started to drown the light.

Rumple took Belle's hand and led her to the stairs and off the beach. Sand particles filled the air. She felt it clog up her eyelids as she pinched them shut.

"R-Rum-" she tried to say but couldn't.

He did not respond but they kept moving. Their vision was lost. She felt her toe hit the side of the stair. She started to climb a stair when she started to see Rumple's back. He turned around with fear written all over the features of his face.

"Belle, darling, stay safe," he said. He took hold of her hips and lifted her in front of him on the stairs. She tripped on the step as she saw a wave of water above her. She climbed step after step trying to escape the wave's shadow. She looked down, and terror filled her eyes. Rumple was swept away in the rising water that caught his feet.

"RUMPLE!" she cried out.

She had reached land but Rumple was nowhere to be seen in the violent waves. The wind thrashed her body in all directions. All the light had vanished. She ran to a nearby shack to escape the storm.

Nails skewered her feet as she ran to the corner. She crashed down onto the floor and saw blood pooling around her. Nails stuck up everywhere on the wooden floor; it was almost as if someone had hammered them from the bottom. Lightning flashed and the thunder shook the floorboards.

"Rumple... Rumple... Rumple!" she cried over and over again. The storm kept raging on for what seemed like hours. Her feet became numb. She pulled at the roots of her hair in agony.

"Wake up," she sobbed out. "It's only a dream, Belle," she told herself.

"Wake up. Wake up," said a voice in her mind. It started to surface and become louder. She let out a sob and closed her eyes. When she opened them next, she felt the silk sheets on her legs and a springy mattress beneath her. She felt a firm grip around her forearm.

"Belle, it's just a dream," his calming voice said from beside her.

She sat up on her elbows and felt tears slide down her cheeks. Her chin trembled too much to be able to speak. Rumple looked down at her with worry, but he stayed silent as she took deep breathes. The dream never left her thoughts. It stuck like glue.

"Want to talk about it?" he asked.

She nodded.

Rumple guided her downwards until her head hit the soft pillow as he followed behind her and tucked an arm behind her stiff shoulders. She rolled onto her side so that she could face him. He looked into his sincere eyes and began to tell the horrid tale of her dreams.

That was more dramatic than I intended...
