Chapter Five:Hunters Epiphany

I woke up early on a Friday morning, a coach was outside and my mother was at the door. 

"Mom?"

"Hunter! The princess wants to see you!" I ran to my mother, my heart racing, beating out of my chest. The woman at the door spoke up.

"Mr. Hunter, I am here to collect you for Miss Willow, her mother would like to meet you, it seems she has chosen you over Prince Chase," I'm pretty sure my heart stopped beating, I couldn't breathe, Willow loved me! I was sure of it now.

"Mom I love you so much, I will be back later!" I kissed her cheek and ran out of the door. 

"For a man with a 6 foot build you run very slow," I giggled at her words. 

"I am six foot six, I can run faster than that."

"What do you think you did to make her fall for you?" I thought long and hard, I had no idea why, I was being a gentleman like I was taught by my father. 

"I'm not sure, I was being a gentleman, I was being myself," I fiddled with my fingers.

"Maybe that was it, maybe you being yourself is what caught her eye," I smiled at her words, perhaps that was the reason.

"I didn't catch your name," I decided to change the subject, I didn't want to talk about myself any longer, it wasn't very polite. 

"I am Mary Anne, a servant and very close friend of hers."

"I am very excited to get to know you both and your stories together as we get older," the coach stopped and we got out. Willow greeted me with a hug and a soft kiss on the cheek. 

"I am very sorry for the events that happened the other day, I should have known he wasn't who I thought he was," I cupped her face lightly, looking into her big brown eyes, smiling at her.

"The events that happened the other day don't matter, all that matters is now," I kissed her softly. Then hugging her afterwards.

"Come meet my mother, she's going to love you."
